Proof that I'm Good (Blue) wasn't needed  in the album (and still an awful song)

Do you guys think if she put out a full on dance album of songs more in the vein of I'm Good (Blue) instead of the 70's disco pop, that it would have done any better?

Look at the art, not the chart! lol

I just hope we get a deluxe still. As we know, we never got a Better Mistakes deluxe either!

no album would have done any better

bebe wrote the song, but at the end of the day im good didn’t succeed because of her

it was carried by the sample and an artist with wider reach

I'm upset because she deserves so much more for serving quality!

Better Mistakes deserved better but this had a worldwide smash. They should have dropped it much sooner and keep on the promo. It has potential.

Poor Bebe. It's a decent album too.

I know she didn’t seem to confident talking about Stars on her space yesterday. I think she uses the space feature in twitter to avoid Warner listening

Ngl this is my least fave album from her, (but I just prefer the trap pop and pop rock than this disco pop we got). Her voice really shines on this album

though, she sounds amazing on all the tracks.

But since there was like ZERO promo for this….well these numbers are expected…

#36 in Canada and #94 in France though, not too bad.

Blue Moon continues to remain at #1 in my heart :wanda:

Has she tweeted about this?

Wow! That's a real shame but it's been so predictable.

The numbers really emphasize how not even the gays are checking / care for her. I mean this thread hasn't even made it past 40 pages for an album thread by a pop girl... that's bad. I think where she went wrong was failing to establish any identity of her own. She chased GP hits and appeased to radio music without establishing a core audience, which are essentially the people that show up to the tour and buy your album at the end of the day. It also doesn't help that she is still sonically searching for her sound and hasn't landed on something that stuck, although this album is a massive step in the right direction.

Every single one of her projects are sonically different from one another and don't say anything about who Bebe Rexha is as an artist. I Don't Wanna Grow Up, All Your Fault, Expectations, Better Mistakes and now Bebe. Like... what is the main selling point? Who are we supposed to connect with? The image overhaul in 2016 really did her in and she hasn't been able to escape the faceless radio fodder category since then.

The worst part of all of this identity searching is that Bebe is, immensely talented, both with songwriting and singing, so clearly there is a reason to root for her and follow her. I don't believe her record label has her best interest at heart when it comes to marketing or pushing her, in all regards. That's another issue that needs to be addressed because despite the massive success of I'm Good, it has virtually done nothing for her image or career (evidently) and has been failed to be capitalized on.

There is nothing to latch onto which is why she has never truly caught on, but I'll still root for her. :celestial5:

At the end of the day she's still rich and can live her life in peace though, so all the best to her.  :bird:

sorry i’m on mobile so can’t find it rn but in the middle of interview somewhere they start alluding to his sex life. instead of refocusing the interview he goes out of his way to out himself as a bottom.

idt bebe even really engages other than an awkward laugh but his cohost with the white hair goes back and forth with him about it

im not a prude and if this was simply a conversational podcast i wouldn’t think twice but you’re interviewing a major label artist about her new album like cmon

edit: he also clearly did his homework at the last minute. it was painful when she had to correct him about the album multiple times

Hum yeah, if I'm not mistaken he once claimed he was asexual or not comfortable sexually during an interview with Ari who was encouraging him to have more fun. Awkward.

I hope whoever came up with the key change in the final Blue Moon chorus is having a really good day :flower:

Satellite, I'm Not High I'm In Love, Blue Moon, and I Am just keep HITTING :flame:

She really put together such a solid pop album.  Can't wait for the deluxe tracks!

Judging by the numbers is a Deluxe (One in a Million specifically) unlikely to happen now?

Well that’s what happened to her last album, but this time she seems to have specifically finished songs for it.

Just the clips alone of Don’t exist and one in a million sound better than most of the tracks on this album except for Satellite, Call on me and I’m good. Those are the 3 I only go back to really !

They have literally done nothing to promote or support her. They only pushed I'm Good after it became viral and she asked David to finish it with her. And she personally asked Snoop and Dolly for the collabs through her own contacts. Warner is so trash and she probably can't say anything.
