ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted April 1, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted April 1, 2023 Call On Me is such a bop
Edibles. Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 I think the concept of her doing an album with Burns exclusively is more appealing than her and Guetta

This album therefore assumes a "more reasoned" and pervasive structure than the previous one (but this doesn’t mean that ‘Better Mistakes’ was a bad album!). 'Miracle Man' has an evocative production that focuses attention on a warm and sensual environment, punctuated by the softness of Bebe's voice. "I need a miracle man who can make me believe in love again" is the refrain interspersed with several "Amen"(s). The softness of the voice is perceived more in the second verse, short and again thrown towards the refrain. Personally speaking, one of the favorite tracks of the entire album. The bridge is really cute and soft, then supported by punctual production. 'Satellite', as she showed during her Instagram live, is very nice, pop and fresh. The atmosphere created is really nice and definitely comes with a replay chance, thanks to the simple rhyming words offered by Snoop Dogg. The artistic decision to cut the song at the end could make you turn up your nose, but it will be habit. ‘I Am’ is a very rich piece of self-empowerment as Bebe describes herself as “everything”: "I am a woman, [...] I am a god, I dance with the devil [...]". A simple refrain supported by a "slightly more pop" production and its "uh-uh" (which occur several times throughout the piece). Not much to add, except its repetitiveness. ‘When It Rains’ is sure to be a fan favorite: opening with Bebe softly saying the song title, the song is literally bop, pop and immersive. The structure is very simple and the chorus might appear predictable, but really beautiful. ‘Blue Moon’ is my absolute favorite: the production, the chorus, the lyricism and the vocals. Maybe someone will find it pretty similar to 'Heart Wants What It Wants'. The song opens with some musical instruments (flutes suggesting whistles) with a focus on stars and constellations (as the title suggests). It's a bop, with a wonderful production. "[...] a love like this only comes once in a Blue Moon, in a Blue Moon, I a Blue Mo-oo-oon [...]". The production in 'I'm Not High, I'm In Love' is totally good: the crescendo before the chorus is fabulous: "I can't even eat, I can't even sleep, it's trueeee". Immediately after the first chorus, and therefore before the second (very short) verse, there is a part dedicated exclusively to the instruments. 'Born Again' is a slow ballad. The vocals on this track are absolutely great, accompanied by choral backing vocals along with the guitar production. It could be a skip within such an eventful album, but in my opinion there is a reflective moment that needs to be softer and more sparse. 'Visions (Don't Go)' will be another bop for the fans in my opinion. The opening part is exceptional: instruments, soft voice and small crescendos. "Baby please don't go" is well placed all over the refrain, but the nicest thing are the backing vocals that reduce the possible “leanness” of the song. 'Seasons' closes the album and is the most country piece on the album (as can also be expected from the featuring). It is a cute piece, soft and well-modulated. The simple structure accompanied by a light rhythm and gentle guitar really suggests a singular autumn atmosphere. Dolly Parton's voice fits well with Bebe's higher pitched voice (who offers plenty of vocals). It maybe will be described as a "skip" from someone, but the fact that the album was almost titled "Seasons" means something! BEBE is such an improvement from the previous album and it deserves a lot of recognition! what would you make the singles after hearing the whole album?
SchmoodRing Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 while i know her and guetta are a match i'd love to see her work with other djs zedd comes to mind. i know that she was a contender for the middle

Mke1979 Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 (edited) I don't think Heart Wants What It Wants should have been the second single from this album! I like Call On Me better. Heart Wants What It Wants is missing a bigger chorus and it's too word repetitive. BEBE Singles 1. I'm Good (Blue) 2. Call On Me 3. Satellite? Edited April 4, 2023 by Mke1979
Gabe² Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 I love heart one of Bebe’s most interesting songs as well as catchy
