I mean by Billboard. The remix should generate more points than the original for Ariana to get credited.

Abel better fly to Europe to make a MV :giraffe:

They don't always respect that rule tho. If the remix is the "main" reason the song went #1, then she will get credited even if the points are lower than the original. Then eventually, the credit will be removed if the points stay lower for a long time. If I remember correctly, on debut week, Save Your Tears original still had more points than the remix due to the radio but Ariana still got the credit and eventually the radio of the remix rose enough for the credit to stay.

Next week Miley is already predicted to go down to around 290 points. That's actually a weak #1. With the radio of dfy being still high and the new remix, it will easily do above 300 points

Where did you get this from? :celestial5:

I am mutual on Twitter with a person that predicts the Hot 100 and they told me it'll be around 290-300 points for the week after this one. This one is around 318 points.

Let's hope they do the same to DFY.

If there was a video, another #1 would be in the bag. Don’t think it’s gonna happen this time tho.

She couldn’t go out of from her house and film a cute music video

at least we are getting something. :WAP:

spotify needs to take a page out of itunes' book and let us change cover art of a song after its release because I need this NOW

oh they’re taking IT :jonny5:

Please be another #1 :jonnycat: remember the LONG period of time Ariana was struggling to get a #1, now she is collecting #1s this easy.

Not really. Flowers has around 325 points - that's not that big. Kill Bill is at 300. DFY could make it.

I'm sorry but it's cheap looking.

I'm calculating it would need around 25k sales and 18m streams and it's unlikely ariana will get credited if it's anywhere but #1 (but with billboard we never know)

but im sure she's gonna deliver quality :jonny6: only the best duo in music rn

And let’s not forget the OG version, 900k daily streams on US Spotify + #14 on AM. I think it’s very possible to debut atop.

Their collaborations have all been great, consider me excited.

not to mention the remix is probably going to get great playlist support. If the remix is good they’re going #1 :bird:

I'm looking forward to the remix. They've always served top notch quality together. Love Me Harder, Save Your Tears, Off The Table...

At this point they should do a collaboration album together tbh. Can y'all imagine the serve that would be?

THE HYPE FROM THE GP! :jonny6:

The original "Die For You" also rose from #12 to a new peak of #10 on Global Spotify.

Fun fact: during this entire period, despite the ongoing organic growth and impressive stability, "Die For You" was never placed on Today's Top Hits even though other revived songs like Chris Brown's "Under The Influence" (2019) and Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" (1985) were added during their respective peaks. It also currently has pretty substandard placements on other high-profile playlists such as Pop Up and Are & Be.

The remix with Ariana should encourage Spotify to finally include it on TTH, which will give it yet another additional boost. I cannot wait! :intoit:

Just from the snippets alone I'm confident it will be good. "Die For You" is the type of song that lends itself better to the duet format than "Save Your Tears" (and that remix was well-crafted and smashed regardless), not to mention Ariana's harmonizations and backing vocals will somehow manage to enhance the production and melodies even further.
