Like there’s just so many good r&b guys out right now. It’s crazy Chris Brown’s phone even rings as much as it does given they can probably get those guys for cheaper. Gossip_Boy Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Oh this is finna eat. Already sounds better than all the other stuff she’s dropped. Chris just sounds good on anything honestly.
zeta Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 My whole TL is Chloe getting shred to (in) pieces

If you don't release the lashings can only be limited to the "no material" one

popularmoonlight Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 It's going to be so funny if this turns out to be the hit they want, but it def won't be within her core base. Whatever gets you those numbers I guess. I truly wish she'd gone in a different route. So many young R&B names out there that would work better. Why go to an artist that the time has certanly passed for the majority of people she should be singing to? I used to enjoy Chris Brown when I was 7/8 Lucky Daye, Giveon, Steve Lacy, 6LACK just to name a few, all make exceptional music. These labels truly setting their artists up because they have NO IDEA how to market them. I guess this really goes along the line of what Pray It Away paved. She's not singing for her original base anymore, they're aiming at a different target. I read someone say if they wanted to go onto the polemic route, they should've just gotten Normani and queerbaited throughout the whole video and we'd be here for it

OrgVisual Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 People are just a bunch of SJWs If they hate Chris Brown so much then how and why did they make his songs blow up on TikTok?
MaxMartin Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 maybe she deserves the flopity flop after all.
4RCH1M3D35 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Chris has a strong urban radio pull. He routinely runs up the top ten of urban radio. This will likely do numbers.

There are different audiences in the world. The same people that dislike him aren't the same people streaming his songs

favorite crime Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 This will smash. Chris is sadly still massive and beloved irl and all the twitter hate will just give this more promotion.

Hence why, they don’t care to complain
Dr. Alexander Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 (edited) This duet makes sense radio-wise, but it doesn’t make sense marketing-wise. This would be the equivalent of Ariana Grande collaborating with Adam Levine or Justin Timberlake for a big single. Yes, radio would play it but her listening base would be very confused. It wouldn’t make sense. Edited February 16, 2023 by Dr. Alexander
