She could've gotten JID as the feature and it would've ATE but I guess she's desperate for a hit

Watch her going Tinashe and Zendaya route and say that her label forced her to do the CB collab :deadbanana4:

Only good thing about this is that he is loved in the r&b community

And that’s all that needs to be said. This is a smart move for her.

Why are people sure it will smash? The Zendaya x Chris collab went nowhere and Chris was way more relevant back then. :skull:

Anyway, that's not the point—hugely disappointing from Chlöe.

chris is a big name and has a surprisingly global audience so this is a massive opportunity for her. especially given the serious downward trajectory of her releases :rip:

she could’ve easily featured usher instead and had a come thru type of moment but hey

as much as I hate cb I stopped caring about artist working with him once Rihanna did. I'll listen if if's good. but if there's also a solo version I'll listen to that instead.

Not some of yall defending this time-and-time-again abuser

chloe needs a hit....her grace period is running low. nobody is going to keep pouring money into the toilet & she's not producing any favorable results. if this doesn't turn around...i see her getting dropped. CB is a last ditch effort. her "fans" are minimal in number...so trading off any upset ones to get a song in the minds of GP & new ones is worth the risk.

I was excited for Chlöe's debut why does she have to collaborate with trash :rip:

But the people dragging Chloe for working with him are not the ones streaming him. That literally makes no ******* sense.

Literally 90% of her comments & TSR are dragging her. Literally almost no one is supporting this and yet they still listen to Chris Brown.

I’m not a fan of Chris nor am I excusing him but it’s just an observation.

That song was so generic

If it's like these songs, it would do ok. The snippet sounds meh though tbh

What Chloe really needs is to stop producing her own music :chick1:

TSR isnt dragging her, I see shady comments about Chris's colorism though at the most lol

Also for general clarification

As someone from Atlanta, GA - almost every female in the Urban community listen to Chris Brown. He has back to back to back #1 Urban radio singles. He just had one of the biggest streaming singles of the year (which is still Top 5 on the Apple Music R&B chart). He just want on a sold out tour with Lil Baby (and no one ridiculed him for working with Chris).

But whenever the R&B girls work with him - everyone hates Chris Brown again and Blame the girl. It’s really just an observation.

The endless lashings on my timeline :deadbanana4:

She better pray hard for this to become a genuine hit lmao

As someone also from Atlanta, what are you on about?

It’s very clear that Chris Brown is still a major artist who is able to have solid chart success. The people who drag women for working with Chris Brown are not the same people that praise Chris Brown.

The reason for the disconnect is that a lot of these female r&b stars have very gay, very pro-women, or very liberal fan bases. In that regard, those core fans are gonna be annoyed when their fav works with someone who has a long track record of harming women (and men) in the industry, even if they’re outnumbered by the population of people that are over it.

Initial reaction: CHLOE is taking the same route that was the kiss of death to multiple careers from Tinashe, Sevyn Streeter, Normani (just by appearing in a video), Zendaya, etc.

Chris has often been the last hit or last single an artist dropped before it all fell apart.

After hearing the snippet: The single sounds like a strong radio single but they will still need to promote it as such and based on the backlash, they may just silent release, drop a vid, and be lower key about it. Chloe allegedly leaving Twitter now seems premeditated.

She knew a Chris Brown single was done by the label for months and doesn’t want to scroll through the backlash so she faked being over socials and left early before the era revamp.

Lastly, they could have called Usher. I just feel that would give her room to get a Grammy nom for this song because it does sound good. Chris on it definitely means it has a low probability of getting a nom even if it does well. Usher is a legend and will bring some clout to the promotion of the song. If younger, she could have went with Lucky Daye, Bryson Tiller, Bleu, DVSN, etc. There’s no shortage of options.

Brent Faiyaz would be the best choice now
