Mezter Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 This sounds dated and not worth the controversy at all. We want Body Do!
giRLbye. Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 (edited) she should've scrapped "Pray It Away" & just lead with this....way more palatable this is something that i can actually hear on the radio Edited February 24, 2023 by giRLbye.
muziq.kid Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Columbia has at least put her on playlists
blastoisebaby Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 You know what y’all. Ain’t my favorite Chloë song. But other than Have Mercy,Treat Me and For The Night. This is EXTREMELY Radio friend especially to Urban radio. also Chris is HOT rn. Also it sounds like it will have more context in the album. I actually would’ve done. For The Night Feat Tinashe or Normani How Does It Feel Feat Chris Brown Absolute BOP album release week. And would’ve brought the album release closer TBH and then let the other singles be whatever other songs blow up Post Release

Is it because he got a Tik Tok hit?
Pleighboy Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 This sounds like a Chris Brown song featuring a random female singer.
Unbeyleivable Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Anyone could’ve done his part. I hope she gets that urban radio hit that everyone speaks of…
MrPiggyMoka Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Wow sounds dated as ****… I thought this would be a cute radio hit for Chloe but no… Can’t Bey give her a hit or something?
Born to Run Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Boring as ****. It Won't Stop remains the best Chr*s duet.
Cbreezy Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Video is GREAT, song - like others have said - is a bit "Chris Brown by the numbers". There are some interesting corners production-wise, but it really is a recycle bin R&B jam. BUT...at this point, I just want her to get another hit. So, the playlisting and this overall move are great. Another thing to consider in releasing a song like this over a song like Body Do is... performance-ability. She can perform this in any format...all-out, acoustic, etc on more stages. The Have Mercy's, Treat Me's, Body Do's etc require a lot (dancers, theatrics) and also may not be suited to a GMA or Live with Ryan & Kelly. In short, this way, she kills a number of birds with one stone.
liquiddiamonds Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 She looks gorgeous in the video. Some of her best looks ever. Still overdramatic for a ballad, but that’s Chloe by now. I didn’t like the song. It feels very 2015-ish. Cautiously curious about how the whole project will sound. It’s 0/2 for me and I’d take at least 3 of the loosies we had before over them
Nazareth Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Incredible music video. I think the song is a grower.
Ice Cream Skies Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 This would be Track 41 on a Chris Brown album, and it’s leading her album. Whoever said “a recycled R&B jam” was spot on.

I couldn't agree more. a "by the book" R&B collab this is the sound they like to pull for the 'R&B ain't dead' conversation. their voices sound great together tho. but it does have some very nice turns in production. this is perfect for the promo tour. something nice and scaled back. (especially with the overzealous "do too much" allegations) i'm excited to see how the tides have been turning in her favor. This is the sound and vibe the GP loves so, I pray it goes the way Columbia is pushing for it to. I just want Chloe to WIN! that's all.
Saint James Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 maybe im out of touch but i don't see how this is a perfect radio r&b sound? maybe 10 years ago
Alex Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 I can see it being received well on radios but that's it lol. 1 hour ago, Cbreezy said: Another thing to consider in releasing a song like this over a song like Body Do is... performance-ability. OT: It's cute, but needed to be longer. And she should've called Usher for a throwback to Throwback, but I guess the label needs a hit.

Char-Li Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 This MAY be a hit because of the sample/interpolation of You’re Gonna Want Me Back but my thing is why does Chloe refuse to make a song that’s 3+ minutes long?
