If she intends to release this year I have no idea why she squandered the SB, an opportunity that only comes around once. Even if the album isn't ready surely there was a song that she could've dropped? It's not like she would've had to do endless promo, that platform was more than enough.

 

I do feel for her though. The hype for her comeback is massive and people are holding her to really high expectations. Hopefully she can deliver.

This interview took place in January, just after the GG’s and she was already pregnant then as it states and her team knew then too.
 

She’s 4/5 months along at the moment. 
 

She still has Q3/Q4 to deliver it. 
 

That really doesn’t give her a lot of time. She’s likely due in June (the best month), she’ll want to take time with her newborn, get back into shape, she’ll have to film a video for the lead, photoshoots, etc. & then right into promo of sorts. That doesn’t even include recording the actual album, which I don’t think is even really started tbh. Like I’m sure she has a ton of songs from the past several years. But I doubt any of it will make the cut. Whatever R9 will end up being, I don’t think has started.

she was unaware of the new baby when she said that so most likely she won’t release anything until 2024. And it makes sense, her focus will be the new baby, it’s normal.

If anything it sounds like shes saying that the music doesn’t feel coherent to her so she’s back to step 1

It’s not coming lol, she’s not like Beyoncé who’s always working on music even when pregnant. Music is way down low on her list of life priorities. If she couldn’t be bothered to record the demos sent to her before, why would she suddenly be motivated when she has 2 babies?

In the article it quite literally says she never stopped recording music and gave specific reasons as to why the music she recorded over these 7 yrs has yet to be released. 
 

She felt immense pressure to live up to Anti and in doing so…She fell out of love with songs. 

Its so funny to see people say well she should just drop a single(s) she did that exact thing in 2015 and got DRAGGED to hell & back for the songs sounds and chart performance. So let’s not sit up here and lie like anything from her will be well received with open arms
