A direct sequel would confuse audiences, and I honestly think the requels we've gotten have been pretty great like David Gordon Green's Halloween (2018), Scream (2022), Saw (2023) and Candyman (2021). Sure, The Exorcist: Believer was pretty trash, but for the most part, I can't say I can complain too much with horror requels. To be completely honest, I've liked the plot of IKWYDLS & Jennifer Love Hewitt, but it's so generic and has a terrible ending-- hopefully this sequel can fix that.
