I’m excited for this project! I feel like James will put out a script that has a very charming and wholesome Superman (like Reeves) and put cool action scenes and a great cast, this is the foundation of the new DCU and he can’t afford this project to be bad or flop.

 

The Superman from Snyder/Cavill was too moody, dark and too much despair and deaths to really make click with the audience.

 

I’m sure that they will announce the actor at SDCC.

Maybe but from the rest of the Universe he is building like older Batman with his son Damian as Robin. It's in that same time of Jon Kent. Maybe it's about Clark raising his young son Jon. Anyways it's an interesting concept. Let me keep my hope of a gay Superman.

i don't understand why are yall acting as if we cant find a better superman than cavil when he was mostly chosen for his look

we have 8billion people out there. surely we can find an anonymous actor that will fit the role. he doesn't have to be famous.

I mean it’s kinda hard to cast for Superman and find an actor who doesn’t resemble Henry.

From the names mentioned David Corenswet would be ok I guess. He looks the part the most and even though I haven’t seen much of his work, he was very charming in Pearl.

 

He does look an awful lot like Cavill tho lol.

The Hoult and Brosnahan pair is by far the best acting wise but I think Corenswet and Mackey have it in the bag. I honestly don’t see the vision with Mackey AT ALL.
 

I hope they tested Rachel with Corenswet as well (as everyone seems to want him for the role). She would be so perfect as Lois.

Wake me up when we get plot details. Anyone can play Superman  if they look like a generic 35 year old white man😭
