Ummm some of y’all are never happy, just listening to it now and Looze You, Told Ya are so good. Cheatback is good even though Future is such a hypocrite after what he did to Ciara to sing a song like that. Not here for Chris Brown ofc but whatever.

Glad we got an album from one of the new RnB girlies.

I’m obsessed with make it look easy

Same! Heartfelt lyrics with great vocals and melodies on MILE. Production is also great on this  :jamming:

hate to knock MJ upside the head for Chloe but MJ had 6 whole entire solo albums before dropping thriller.

you'd be surprise how many people think 'Off The Wall' is his debut album...

also this is chloe's debut as a SOLO artist. don't know why logistics are so hard for y'all to comprehend.

meanwhile, i see you have a ciara avy and with her current track record, the energy you're putting into finding a fault in chloe,

you need to be running up 'Da Girls'. stinka butt been dropping duds for almost a decade now...

Still. Michael’s ‘debut’ album had an academy nominated single which is a singing contest cover staple til this day. Off The Wall is considered his true debut because he wasn’t a child being told what to sing and much like Chloe had control over the direction of that album.

A much better comparison would be Janet or even Prince.

Edit: Correction. Got 2 Be There was MJ’s debut, but still a terrible comparison.

I think people should sit with albums a little before shooting it down. I personally didn’t like S.O.S first listen but that album has grown on me a lot. I don’t think this album touches her work with Halle but it’s far from terrible or what people are making it seem.

I am scared that this era will end after the tour. How many more singles do they plan on releasing? And none of these newer singles have been sent to the radio?

This album is definitely a grower. It's more lowkey than I was expecting but I genuinely enjoy this album. I still think adding Have Mercy, Treat Me, Surprise and For The Night would have taken this album to another level and given it the extra energy it's lacking though.

I need Fallin 4 U full version asap :jonnycat:  that production with her vocals is too good to waste on just an interlude.

She hinted at plans of a Told Ya video today on her story so we know that’s happening

Body Do is top 1.

Have Mercy would've been top 2, idk what she was thinking scrapping that.

This. I get why they took it in  a "heartbreak" direction, but it needed the singles for the fun factor.  It blends together too much. Cut the two interludes, keep the intro. Add the singles. You'd then get a solid 16 song set that you could rearrange to still sound cohesive and keep the artistic goal.

i know you know so many debuts that are timeless pieces

+ this is not real debut for chloe, she already has debut with halle. and do we have to talk about beyonce as mentor? now beyonce achievements are not enough? shes not credible? then who is?

you guys are making excuses for her.

it is what it is.

Yall are weird. Again, Chloe is essentially inheriting a bunch of detractors who are invested in her failure. Just like her mentor. This actually sets you up in the long run. Look at wheelie other girlies for from being a perpetual victim and constant excuses.

Be glad a black girlie in the under 25 age range released a debut in unprecedented time. Cause it was dry. That crowd of 2016-2018 girlies who were thought to he next and only SZA, Summer (maybe HER) stuck. Now it's time for a new era. Chloe is not for a majority of this board or the people who critique her. Many are older and just want to weaponize her against Beyonce who is in a totally different phase of her career.

The album has its highs and lows. Top 3 for me would be body do, cheatback and in pieces 😌😌

thats true, thats why i said ill still stan and stream, but i wont lie and be like every song slaps when it does not. at least for me, i wont stream those 3 ballads and interludes. but everything else yes. so it could have being an ep.

btw her interview on latto 777 radio is the best. im living

Feel Me Cry just might be her best song I fear. :jonnycat:

Ungodly Hour is light years better than this :deadbanana4: Maybe Halle brings the quality because this is definitely very mediocre. Chloe should have definitely kept the pre release singles on the tracklist. The album really needed those songs. This can maybe grow on me but I would listen to Ungodly Hour before playing this like every time.

I'm really happy to see this actually got a release. However, I'm disappointed with its quality. I really enjoyed all of her singles last year & am a huge fan of CxH. Yet on this record only 2-3 tracks even caught my attention :doc:

very confused as to why she scrapped her singles. they were fun bops I don't get it. For the Night particularly is just like kinda superior to this whole album
