Is this good

well it's not bad lol but could definitely be better considering the album drops this week. I believe it's the streams from How Does It Feel that's pushing it up the album charts but maybe @Armani? would know better :celestial5:

There’s no consistency in her music

I was so excited for Chloe’s solo journey as it promised a lot… but… she has no musical personality whatsoever

Im excited for Chloe's release the album. It doesn't seem like she's a single artist and her sound is so varied that the GP can't catch on.

With that said I believe all there's left to do is release the album and let the GP pick their faves. I believe at least one song will naturally stick. She can then build from there. That's what a newer artist is suppose to do. You don't have to smash out the gate.

I absolutely agree. I feel like newer artists and her especially aren't extended any grace to figure out what works for them. I think that'll happen as well and I can't wait to see what sticks.

the gp is very much aware of her considering all the push that she's gotten over the years. the problem is this isn't the 2000s the industry and the gp don't have the patience to stick around for artist to develop. from the jump the want to see all of your cards and prove yourself, it's such a counter productive method of consumption that's been normalized.

dance music is the way to go since she's a great performer. uptempo seems to work for her

I just wished all of this could've been smoother for her. i really hate that she couldn't explore her artistry freely without constant critique and opinion but i'm very very excited to hear this story come to life.

Well Body Do is out and seems to be getting more positive feedback. But it's not too different from Have Mercy which is what some hated.

Doja comes to mind when thibking about being signed vs actually popping off. The public is very fickle and aren't going to say that they can't like this artist cause it took too long to get a hit.

I think Chloe will be fine so long as we stop comparing her to Bey and having slight resentment that she's not as big just because she's signed under her. You can tell Chloe was under so much pressure at one point. But she seems much more confident and natural now.

Yeah I think she had the pressure of being this huge success but that was never CxH. Think now she’s just creating and putting out

Anyways! She’s finally releasing her debut album! Such a journey but we’re here and she’s releasing before some of her peers. Can’t believe it!

Has she talked at all about why she scrapped her first few singles from the album? I'm assuming she wanted to go in a different direction?

She loved them but didn't fit the story of the album.

The way EVERY decision about this album was judged, this is probably what's going to happen :celestial:

It seems like this is more so about recovering from self doubt, a toxic relationship etc… Have Mercy lyrically doesn’t fit. Even “Body Do” is saying I want to have fun and I can explore your body more than I can trust you. So she wants to keep this theme of a broken relationship/broken girl.

Body Do is CAMP! You won't get it the first 10 times!

But I don't see how this is any different than Treat Me sonically (my fave song from her) to warrant an inclusion while the latter was scrapped :rip:

I hope they release a deluxe edition later with the previously released singles to upgrade her SPS units

Will it be Body Do or How Does It Feel :celestial5:

It has to be Body Do... right? I imagine they saw that almost everyone that heard it liked it.

She’s technically in such a better light right now after Body Do that I hope they will do that. Maybe a mash up with Pray It Away’s first verse/chorus and then Body Do
