Recently found out about "Innocence and Pills" and I feel like an album full of rock-ish songs like that would be amazing for her

I'm ready for new Kesher. I've been hammering her discog this week.

It's such a shame High Road is mixed the way it is, it sticks out like a sore thumb but there was some promise with several of the tracks.

Agreed, it definitely has some highlights but almost every song is let down by either messy mixing, cheesy lyrics or non-pleasing melodies.

Yeah I wasn’t obsessed with the make up in those photos either, it looked very 2013. She looks beautiful though.

I really loved her looks when she was on that singing show and after Warrior. I wish we had an era with those looks.

She was really serving high glam and I felt like she should have continued she'd be a little more well known. Her looks are really inconsistent now.

I definitely agree

I could really do without the first three tracks honestly, but the rest of the album is really solid. upon revisiting lately, I've realized that it's got the saddest undertones of any of her albums tbh, idk how to fully explain it but it feels like the self-empowering vibes of Rainbow broke through and the floodgates are apparent and the wounds are at the core of High Road. idk. Rainbow's still my fav Kesha album as a whole. I'm so interested in what she'll do next, she's always gonna be one of my top favs :heart2:

I agree. It gets overlooked because the album itself is quite inconsistent in terms of tone, but High Road has some of her most touching and heartbreaking ballads. Resentment, Cowboy Blues and Father Daugher Dance are career highlights! So underrated.

I honestly don't see the issue, its a classic smokey eye with well blended base. She tends to wear the same eye look on stage.

She replied to a fan's comment saying she's currently making the best music of her career :gaycat6: hopefully that doesn't mean the album is still being worked on

Hopefully it’s just the final mastering/mixing :gaycat7:

This, I agree wholeheartedly! I vividly remember thinking how sad (but truly beautiful) Cowboy Blues, Resentment and Father Daughter Dance felt upon first listen, like she truly struck some cords with those. Despite enjoying the more upbeat stuff on High Road, those three songs in particular are the ones I come back to regularly because of the feelings they ooze.

If there's more of that on K5, I definitely won't complain!

i’ll be real with y’all: Shadow too. i know it’s supposed to be an empowerment anthem but something about it makes me really sad :emofish: especially the strings at the end. obviously the bridge is the least sad sounding part to me lol

The stan community **** on her a lot lately cause she's not that big anymore but to be fair The Dr luke situation totally derailed her commercial career :emofish:
She had everything to be as big as Katy but she was livin a nightmare behind the scenes.
Sandy Hook also damaged the potential of her Sophomore era so much
Gottwald is also probably moving the strings behind to destroy all her new eras. He's powerful.
I pray-hope Kesha is able to be free from that monster. :'(
I can see her havin some sort of comeback in the future or maybe movin to a Charli XCX-Carly Rae Jepsen acclaim-career path once she's independent.

I been a fan since Myspace-before she was famous and i remember thinkin.......This singer is special. She has so much potential.
She has the magic others newcomers dont have. Her persona is so interesting.
People like to downplay her achievements but she helped to define the sound of a decade. She's pivotal to the electropop sound.
She's as important as Gaga-Katy-Rihanna. Her glitzy-irreverent party girl image is also iconic.

Hope she's able to found her sound with the new record. High Road was beautiful but the two directions of the record clashed with each other
The next album should be more cohesive and conceptual?
Personally i would love pop Ke$ha to have a full return but i dont mind if she comes with a 100% percent folky album.
I just want her to give us the release date :jonny6: Girlllllllll were hyped :gaycat4: New member Just ranting

I do appreciate the concern, but let's not engage in such conspiracy theories for which there is no concrete evidence, please. There is way too much of that already in this fandom.

Yes he is a monster, yes he is powerful, but he has also not interfered in any way between Kesha and RCA since 2016 and once she is out of her contract after K5, he won't have any tool left to control her.

That's why he is still pursuing the lawsuit so aggressively because that's the only means he has left to try to destroy Kesha and that is slowly but steadily entering its final stages too.

Oh thank you for the clarification Tom. Sorry if it came as conspiracy!!!
Im on stan twitter and i follow so many accounts and they spread so many rumours-gossip about this situation all the time
The music industry can be so shady and dark behind the scenes, so sometimes i believe on those.
Hope she's able to be free of him soon. That day i will celebrate with cake :gaycat4::heart: I have a feeling Justice will prevail this time.
