Absolutely not! I love Rainbow, It's my 2nd favorite after Cannibal Ep, I just expected a break from folk after Rainbow, High Road and few other droplets with the same-ish sound (Fancy Like, This Is Me, Best Day). Also what is with Kesha fans being so fkin aggressive the moment someone say something negative about High Road or anything about Kesha in general? Chill a bit. I love her to death but her stans are unbearable

Can you please explain where I was being aggressive? And I was talking about the taste of this ‘insider’ you keep talking on behalf of. You literally said ‘if you like the country/folk stuff, then maybe…’, meaning it’s going to be more align with Rainbow than High Road no? Which many of us consider her best body of work.

Oh I thought you was talking about me but yeah it wasn't directed specifically at you but also another 2 3 stans in this thread that came at me for no reason, and no it will align more with High Road (Shadow, Chasing Thunders, FDD, Cowboy Blues)

Those songs + resentment are the best ones on High Road (minus some of the lyrics), im no worried.

literally everything we know about this album from producers to snippets is already better than High Road :rip:

And you’re basing this off just the snippet you’ve heard right?

Its not true

She literally ditched Wrabel, worked with the legendary Rick Rubin, booked expensive studios, tried out new interesting sounds based on the snippets/leaks we have so far and allegedly did not scrap the album multiple times this time.

There is no objective basis to make High Road comparisons at this stage.

Instead of the heated discussions can we at least get a release date? :spin:

He was the executive producer on Imagine Dragons’ most recent album Mercury and that was their most personal and experimental album yet. So I’m intrigued to see what Kesha comes out with!

I really hope this is true - I loved the snippets that were posted by some of the producers previously

Same here! Rick rubin is extremely versatile too! He's worked with so many different artists across so many genres, I'm assuming she got him for his work on country?:

Rubin helped popularise hip hop by producing records for acts such as the Beastie Boys, Geto Boys, Run-DMC, Public Enemy, and LL Cool J. He has also produced hit records for acts from a variety of other genres, predominantly heavy metal (Danzig, System of a Down, Metallica, and Slayer), alternative rock (The Cult, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, and Weezer), and country (Johnny Cash and The Chicks

Sounds so good. This sounds like the true rainbow follow up album we deserved.

Rick Rubin as executive producer has been confirmed in a new article about Kesha's management company merging with another firm and receiving a new CEO:

Murray’s appointment at Vector comes as the company prepares for a number of notable releases this year including a Rick Rubin-produced album from Kesha and new music and accompanying summer tour from Manchester Orchestra.

I still really love High Road (even if there are elements of it that I think could've used some work). Excited by the snippets for this new project. I just hope she can announce something concrete soon :wanda:
