AidanUnderYou Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 the perspective of this certification is huge…sold more than every Spice Girls album, every Coldplay album, same level of certification as Come On Over all while being released in a year when album sales were starting to decline Come On Over and The Immaculate Collection are the only international female albums to outsell

How does it work. it sold around 400k physical copies from 1984-1994 (mostly in 1984-1985 as that's when it was physically released) and moved an additional 600,000 units post-1994. 1

LOTF Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Madonna for the throne of UK. She would end transphobia there
Enrique523 Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 She really is the UK Queen. Kylie had a resurgence over there since Golden but Madonna's overall sales and career still put her at the very top. With the right song/album she could have a similar comeback.
jamiko1230 Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 (edited) Madonna whether at 25, 45 or 75 (& regardless of x-amount of flops/misses) will always have sustained buzz/hype/interest before any new musical projects. When not if 1 song/album away from smashing (by today's standards) in the UK/Europe & Australia. The Weekend song shows that. She/they just had a LOT of unusual competition & basically NO push. It's an absolute hit where she basically provided the key vocal hooks highlight. Lev. remix w/ Dua should've been IT but ended up cringe botched lol. But was the remixers botch (not Dua or Madonna).
