It’s not worth releasing another single so close before album in the streaming era. The hype will be there when the whole thing gets released and it’s up to the GP to make which ones they like the most hits. See Sour, Planet Her, etc.

She needs to compete with herself (like Blank Space x Shake It off, 7 rings x TUN, We Can't Stop x Wrecking Ball), it's better than being just one big hit. 

100% agreed. It would be a shame if we lost out on another hit just bc Flowers is so strong.

 

Miley having two hits at once would make this feel like more of a full comeback "era" with chart domination, instead of just Flowers being a random smash.

This era will probably turn out the same as Harry's House. Gigantic 1st single the overshadows the rest of the singles and fizzles out quickly. Hope I am wrong though.

Also, LNT was a pretty big follow up single, #3 on the Hot 100, about to reach 3m units in the US.

I think it's really smart to save the tv promo for the 2nd single, release it album week with a video hopefully and one or two late night show performances.
