Either way, Dejavu was initially overshadowed by Driver's License too until it had a better peak with the album release, so we never really know these days.

True Flowers smashing really caught everyone off guard  but its deserved after the treatment her best album got.

Idk about that. 30 was doing very well until she canceled the residency and then apparently according to some insider, Columbia was very mad at her and they dropped everything. They removed OMG from radio, dropped the playlisting for all the tracks of the album.  If the residency went well, 30 would've been way bigger.


But ESV seems to be going well so far. Hopefully they have a plan for the release week and the weeks after. Interviews, performances maybe a tour?

I wish she would delay the album in 4 weeks, which would give her enough time to release the 2nd single one week before the new release date of the album. Flowers will be the only hit off the album at this point.

I just know they had a meeting one day after seeing the numbers to revisit the era rollout. 

 

If they had any plans to repeat the PH rollout and give us a feature as a second single, I hope they've scrapped them.

Delaying the album for a second single that may or may not be successful is a dumb idea. A 2 month rollout is long these days as it is.

It’s a Miley era, so of course for whatever reason it’s destined to have only 1-2 singles

 

Flowers will blinding lights the rest of the era but so what? It’s bigger than ANYONE would’ve thought the entire campaign combined was gonna be.

Columbia is more focused on maximizing album sales at launch and selling tour tickets. And I think it aligns with what Miley wants at this stage of her career, that's why she signed with them.

I agree that a SOUR kind of rollout would be ideal, it rlly just needs longevity when it comes to singles. 

 

Something like a future nostalgia era would be nice too (but maybe not as long) especially because this is a summer themed album, miley and her team rlly need to push the singles throughout summer and even after honestly. march 10 is very early for the theme, but maybe thats the plan, to make the album reflect an "endless summer"

Not impossible honestly since it's serving some kind of As It Was performance (but bigger) so far. Also, no one big is coming (yet) so why not.
