The chorus for me never soars like it sounded in the first snippet. I was expecting something more sleek and similar to Stealers Wheel's Stuck In The Middle. Unrelated, but I feel like some people don't realize that Miley is essentially a midtempo/ballad girl. It's always funny that each album cycle some people complain about the amount of slower tracks. That's where she feels most comfortable as a songwriter, so her albums usually gravitate towards that outside of the singles. I mean, even Bangerz had it's fair share of ballads and midtempo songs.
