Btw, Jisoo is a baritone singer just like V which means that they are more comfortable singing in low notes. This also explains why V sounds very interesting in BTS' recent music, compared to their old songs, since he's know singing way out of his range. 

 

 

Jisoo is a very under developed soprano or a mezzo soprano with a high tessitura whose vocals are getting worse because of the same treatment Jimin had in BTS, constantly singing out of your comfort zone during a world tour takes its toll on your chords. Jimin sings higher than her despite being a male singer (his actual voice is not that high) and he dances 10x harder than Jisoo. So Jimin>>>Jisoo (unless you mean visuals, in that case, Jisoo is the prettiest idol ever imo).

Anyways, you are so right about Taehyung  He has 60M followers and 77 posts with over 10M likes (in like 15 months) despite not having the most lines/screen time in BTS. He doesn't have a solo, he doesn't show any skin  He is the most popular idol ever because of THAT face. A King

Jimin is a better singer than Jisoo let’s honest. But both regressed tbh. Jimin has never been bad but he’s singing out of this range. 
However despite having the most unique tone V is the worst, he struggles to sing a simple note.

Jimin is obviously 10 times more talented than Jisoo will ever be as an idol and performer, but I prefer Jisoo’s voice when she sings in her range. Jimin’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard for me, so ******* whiny

Tone really is one of the most important things in forming people’s perspectives on vocals. I mean this man has one of the most limited ranges in male idols, but his beautiful soft smooth tone makes up for it tbh

So in hindsight, was Sugar Rush Ride a true hit? Or the typical boy group fraudery?

Yes, Jimin's never been a good singer but he sounds decent in their older songs. Like compare Lie and Filter, he sounds like a chipmunk now as the antis would say  he had to go for that nasal tone because he couldn't support the notes he was given and his voice would crack all the time but now his voice sticks out too much (in a bad way) because V + 3 rappers are all baritones  

 

(the way I know all about vocals but stan BTS might be funny, I've come to realize )

 

Not to go into more details but like the highest note Jisoo or Jennie has ever belted is the same as V, a baritone  not even shading BP, because V sounds incredibly strained there but just f*** HYBE for destroying the limited vocal talent V and Jimin had

Wow, BTS still has some of you extremely pressed. Just a slight mention of praise for them and some of you start writing essays on how they’re all «ugly» and «talentless» when we all know that is not true. If anyone really thinks that any member of Blackpink can outsing/outperform/outrap any member of BTS then you have reached a crazy new level of being delusional. I like the Blackpink-girls and listen to some of their songs, but the stans need to chill when we have all seen the videos from the tour…….

It wasn’t a HIT hit, but it did well beyond what anyone expects from current 4th gen bgs. Hopefully this is an indication of better charting in Korea for the boys as well. We want the 2nd gen/early 3rd gen-esque slayage again where ggs and bgs are simultaneously slaying in Korea.

yeah i don’t understand pushing your singers to sing in much higher ranges than they can comfortably reach  That not only destroys their cords, it also hinders their technique. A true vocalist is always that who can effortlessly climb up the register without straining, and pushing out enough air when they hit those notes. 

that’s my main problem in Twice with Nayeon too, she’s almost always straining when she goes anywhere above C#5. Jihyo not so much because despite having a tone that might sound shrill to some, she can easily climb up the register without much straining. Jeongyeon too, and she has a much more pleasant tone as well. But alas, these companies and producers will keep pushing the wrong members for these high ranges.
