I saw some of y’all horrible takes on bgs earlier 

 

There is nothing companies can do to make bgs chart high in Korea, and it has nothing to with what type of music they are releasing. ENHYPEN and TXT are releasing music that is considered easy and digestible GP music, so that excuse is clearly debunked. 

Bgs have never been digital monsters no matter what Kpop generation we are talking about, with BTS and BIGBANG being the only bgs that are considered digital monsters in Korea. 

And also, since when did charting high in Korea reflect on actual music quality? 
This is the same country that made Signal SOTY btw. 
 

Baddie and Kitsch by IVE are both considered noisy songs, but both songs still managed to top the charts in Korea. 
In short when you’re a gg, you have it easier to chart in Korea no matter what kind of music you’re releasing. 
 

And also the Korean market itself is not that big to determine how big a group actually is in general, hence why groups like Stray Kids are thriving more than MelOn chart topping Kpop acts in the industry right now.
