The song is literally going up on the charts every years. It's not out of nowhere. Now it's going higher due to the fact the ULs are on a all time low, so it'll be easier for them to go #1.

 

First Snow, Rain, Cherry Blossom Ending, As You Wish are the few seasonal song that keeps going up on the charts every year.

It’s because XG also has different variety in their girl-crush concept, and doesn’t stick to one formula like YG. They have a very diverse discography already, and you can’t really predict what their next song is going to sound like, while they still maintain their girl crush image
