It's to give the illusion they're doing the classic military training but it's all BS, idols usually do public service work

I think they have to shave it for basic training which is at the very beginning of their enlistment but after that they can grow it out into something more stylishé

i think as like a soldier they have to, but a lot of idols get office jobs or join the army band
