I noticed that this album has been provided to YouTube by "Universal Music Group" whereas Birthday and previous albums were provided by "SM Entertainment". The pre-save links were by Universal too this time.

 

I wonder if that means anything interesting.

I didn't even play Birthday in full. I was horrified by the 2nd chorus and went to cry in the bathroom

 

It's def gonna grow with more listens. I think the fact we kinda assumed it would be velvet threw us OFF with the chorus. But it's not bad at all and definitely isn't a plain song.

Honestly no track on this album is as bad as Birthday for me, truly a horrid song

ok as i replay Chill Kill more... it really does feel like they were structurally trying to mimic Feel My Rhythm but mix it with the flare of Birthday and a bit of Psycho.

they shouldnt have made this upbeat though, it made no sense

I'm on my 3rd round of Chill Kill and now that I expect the chorus switch up its not bad. I actually like the little flute type instrument in the background. The bright chorus at 4AM when I was expecting a creepy as **** track just caught me off guard.

Ok after the first listen Knock Knock, Nightmare and One Kiss are my favorites. Overall a really good album, it sounds very cohesive but I think Knock Knock should have been the title.

Only based on fan theories, but there isn't anything concrete to suggest it's happening, plus it hasn't appeared on SM's recently updated release schedule.

 

I think this album would suit a repackage though, just like Perfect Velvet did.

Knock Knock is a ride  But yeah it def sounds like it's been done before by RV so I understand why they wouldn't choose it for the title

Not even an hour in and people are already warming up to Chill Kill! It's not the hit we wanted but it's the hit we'll get!

Chill Kill -  this is so BP coded, even the intro sounds like Shut Down. I love the chorus   but gonna need more time with this one, the verses sound a little disjointed? 

Knock Knock - I hate the Halloween theme, already aged like milk 👎❌

Underwater - their sexiest song, the chorus is stunning 

Will I Ever See You Again - instant RV classic, my fave song on the album.  The last chorus is just EPIC.  Sounds like a smash and should be a single. 

Nightmare - again I HATE the Halloween/haunting theme, but at least they pulled it off with this one, the chorus is catchy. 

Iced Coffee - Gorgeous.  

One Kiss - i don't know about this one, sounds pretty dated imo ❌

Bulldozer - K-Pop perfection 

Wings -  no.❌

Scenery - cute but not for me, will probably only listen this to this once.

I think the album is great. Chill Kill is not an instant hit to me but it still fits... and is not anything outrageously bad or cheesy or bland like some of their other TTs (**cough Umpah Umpah, Birthday, Feel my rhythm(sorry i do NOT like this song), Queendom, Power up cough**)
