BP is the perfect example ‪of all members having their own “brands” along with the group

Jennie - the IT girl, fashionista

Lisa - the dancer, tomboy rapper

Jisoo - husky voice, korean visual

Rosé‬ - the fake indie voice, the “artist” of the group

IMO it’s one of the biggest parts of their appeal

HYBE develop your own identity challenge

Posted

It's likely they'll do 1.8M or even 2M first week at this point for Drama. With two albums coming next year as rumored ( Korean studio album and JP debut ) they might overtake IVE or any GGs before twice as the 2nd best selling GG :giraffe:

Now imagine if IU announces a comeback next month

I know their names but I can't pick the NJ members apart, except for Danielle. It's a marketing strategy tho, might be a HYBE thing or MHJ doing what she did with early RV - they're more of a "concept" group, what they are trying to convey with their stuff as a group is more important than the girls.

Meanwhile LSRF is the group where the girls get to shine as individuals bc it fits their "fearless" brand, you can't be a bad ***** if you don't have a personality - even if it's a manufacted one.

The Aespaprint.

Who would have thought the alleged group with zero impact according to some KTRL users is influencing the now biggest label in Korea :clap3:

IVE already has two Japanese physicals (256,233) so I highly doubt Aespa will stay ahead of them for long with how slowly Aespa release.

SM needs to be smart and copy BP a bit by releasing a physical for the pre-release before their album. Otherwise they aren’t getting to the top spot comfortably.

Hence I don't even bother learning their  names, I don't know who is who :eli:

They functions as one component. I guess they just need time to grow and amass interest individually.

It’s probably going to end up doing wonders for their longevity. Between that and the fact that the members are so young, I could see them lasting well beyond 7 years. Groups that focus on being a group first (see: TWICE) usually last forever.

Not her payola'd her way into a Ailee song.

Is it about getting her in an Ailee song, or is it about getting an Ailee song got back on TV music shows?

Lessaniljin debuted on the strength of an individual, everyone else is just being launched by being Sakura-adjacent.

Girl group fans have a disconnect with New Jeans because they weren't BTS fans.  Suddenly there's this biggest girl group in the world, and no one told them about it.  But this was quickly resolved by the quality.

Well we're getting two comebacks this year with a physical release and if SM can keep this up, Aespa in no time will snatch that record :celestial5:

They aren't focusing as a group tho, they already have individual gigs as early as in their careers. it's just how their branding is.

As what I'd said they just need time cause so far none of them are sticking out as individuals.
