fair  but making idols post only on the group account makes it easier to control their image and helps more the groups brand than for the individual as you said, which is good for the company to make the idols more reliant on them

 

jyp did try to push twice individually back then even after suzy mess but then tzuyu politics happened. and they saw twice did just fine without major individual push  

 

kpop did change a lot and not every group is bts or twice that can survive relying only on group activities

It took JYPig six whole years to give Twice individual accounts. Same with SKZ I think. That company is so out of touch with reality, we should stop with the Suzy/Miss A excuse for it now. I mean that was ages ago and they have to realize how important Instagram is for the engagement now and how the individual popularity can help the group considerably. for example, part of the reason why Blackpink was able to gain exposure to a bigger global audience so quickly was due to each member’s strong individual branding from the beginning. I’ll give my example: I was not aware of them during their debut up until 2018 and I got to know Jennie first through her solo endeavors which in return brought me to the group. There is no reason for JYPig to be this against Itzy individual power. Hope the girls can thrive nevertheless, thoughts and prayers.

A source for Chile concerts infos said they will be going to there in january, 2024 and only the venue was still being decided. 

It seems they will start their next world tour with LATAM.

I think Jay is fine conversationally. I mean he literally lived in America and attended an American school lol. That’s more than Minnie or Yuqi can say and they were pretty good in this interview regardless. Jay will be fine.

And even they’re crossing 100k with every album. Do you know how refreshing it is a second gen stan to see last place clearing 100k? There used to be an article weekly about a new label that couldn’t afford to feed their members and now basically every idol is rich. Let’s wake that tea up.

Yeah the SKZ members are some of the most sexualized male idols in the industry, but that's not because of their marketing cause the members don't even show much skin etc. apart from like 2 members only. Some of the members don't even engage in fan service

Baby, even you hated their new music and only came to tolerate it after seeing their visuals and thirsting over every performance. The male groups are relying on selling their images and we can see that not only in their digital chart performance, but in the fact that none of their songs are leaving any impact on the general public the way Next Level, Love Dive, Hype Boy, etc. did. 
 

It’s also why their CDs keep getting thrown away after people pluck out the photocards.

This is so beneficial for the idol's own brand and they will become more visible to the sponsors and fashion companies => more profit for the company 

It allows them to control what’s out in the ethos. No company wants another Jay Park situation. Or to be more recent, let’s look at what’s happening with Kevin of The Boyz, blasting the company for not giving him writing credits. They’re not going to loosen the reigns until they believe they can fully trust you tbh.

JYP's reality is that they once had a perfectly functional girl group until one of the girls became such a star on her own that it prevented the group from functioning.  And recently, a couple of their just-debuted idols got caught fooling around with other idols through secret SNS accounts.  So in between not wanting any one member to outshine the group and a group almost being canceled just as it began, they have enough experience to determine it's just not worth it.  And only 40-year olds are on the ig, anyway.
