Japan has always been an easier option for K-Pop artists to make it, it's close geographically, same time zone, some cultural similarities, language similarities etc.

 

The market in U.S. has been too difficult for K-Pop in the past for a lot of reasons, plus sadly there was still resistance to an Asian popstar in general in America/the West.

 

I think the landscape has changed though. If BP released a full English album and spent 6 months promoting out in U.S./U.K/Europe, they could probably do it.

Taerae is the only one with outstanding vocals, but Zhang Hao is pretty good too. The rest are in the slightly above average to average range tbh, but most of them are stable at least, no one is shockingly bad. They did have the potential to have Jay and he quite possibly could've been one of the best male vocalists of the 4th gen, but the knetz were NOT here for him...

Girls Planet finished at October 22th and they were supposed to debut at December 14th

But due to some of the members coming down with COVID they postponed the debut to January 3rd
