Wonder Girls sweetie I'm so sorry.

I'll give Wonder Girls a pass though they definitely weren't as strong as I think some remember.

Sunye and Yenny were good but they were held back by JYPig's half-air half-sound technique in their peak days.

I love miss A but they did struggle a bit in that department too. Bops for DAYS though. Queens.

Twice and Itzy.... :toofunny2: Twice really set a terrible precedent with their success.

I hope Nmixx get some more good results so JYP keeps it up for the new generations. The dark days are finally over :clap3:

Jimin has actually proved himself to be the top solo of BTS so far. But I am curious what happens when the rest of the maknae line drop albums. What are your predictions for that?

Hmm honestly I always thought JK had the most potential to smash but with the way he's been ******* around lately idk if he even wants to invest in a full rollout tbh. If he gets a Jimin type of full rollout I definitely think he would end everyone lol. V is even more of a wildcard because while I think he has an equally large solo stanbase as JK, I doubt he would go down a full pop route with his music. I expect his release to be more jazz/R&B so the songs might not do as well but he will probably sell more albums than Jimin.

What Wonder Girls couldnt do in vocals they made up as performers they were an actual band. Arent they the only JYP gg to have a drummer?

Don’t rack your brain too much. I think I’ve realized some people just need to pour their frustrations out and maybe i happened to be the one on the receiving end today :dies:

It has been funny to see JK turn into full-time streamer ngl :dies:

But to be honest, I think the boy is tired and he has every right to just relax and do as he likes. He gave his youth to Kpop and got caught in this huge whirlwind of success. I can see him maybe being burntout. I remember in the early days he said he struggled with his identity - as in he had no idea who he was. I think people underestimate the psychological toll being in this industry has on kids who debut so young.

I remember one of the younger Kara members after her contract ended literally just went to get her barista license. Like why not after you've made all that money?

V seems happy getting the socialite money too but if either of these two decide to throw down it's gonna be a very interesting moment in Kpop.

They were a regular Kpop group before transitioning to becoming a band. They only became a band in 2015 whereas they debuted in 2007 (and even had American promotions and a Nickolodeon movie...and opened for the Jonas brothers).

Actually the Wonder Girls' Kpop journey was truly epic if you think about it.

Still wouldn't count them as good vocalists but they were at least competent which is more than I could say for some of their hoobaes.

I think the YouTube algorithm knows I can’t get enough of this so it keeps showing up, and i keep watching it! :dies:

I totally agree, JK has accomplished enough for multiple lifetimes and I think he should just do whatever tf he wants from now on. But at the same time, I can't help but feel bad about the potential smashery he's wasting :rainy:. With V I'm just hoping that man releases anything at all because he keeps making masterpieces and trashing them completely for no reason :rip:

I will never stop mourning the fact that he deleted this troye sivan-esque coming of age indie excellence

This is why I asked for context. So people would hopefully understand. Just be careful.

That's fine. I will say that I do think you can have made it more clear in your post that you were not just piling on me along with the rest of the users who quoted me in succession actually honest-to-goodness trying to insinuate that I was actually calling someone the 'n' word/being racially problematic like.....

But things get lost in translation online. It's water under the bridge for me.

As for what happened...tbh I'm confused myself.

I posted Mark's lyrics for his latest song Golden Hour and made fun of it. I praised girl groups jokingly just to have fun.

Then Mark's fanboys appeared and started going nuts on me lol.

Including one that I've seen being passive-aggressive towards me throughout the past couple of weeks as evidenced by my notifs. After I asked that user what's good, said user went nuts as well and blew their top. :toofunny2:

It's all very weird to me and tbh I think the collective response to my making fun of Mark's silly lyrics was way OTT but hey it is what it is. You take your lumps and move on. :michael:  Come for Mark and get got. Message received I guess?

This is my last post about it tho tbh it's so dumb lol.

I do hope some of yall are buying his single though....at least support the boy monetarily if you're going to go THIS hard. :deadbanana4:

XG on Coachella would be so good, 88rising please give them the exposure they deserve!

V is the only BTS member whose album I would consider buying if it would be good

I don’t know, he just has that IT factor

(but I lowkey was thinking about getting latest RM’s release, it was good and has some nice and quality collabs:rip:

Why is this entire album already out when it hasn't been announced yet? Are the songs on the album going to be different?

Also PLEASE let XG come to Coachella the girls need a lesson on slayage.

Blackpink and XG in the same place, I would do anything to witness that amount of slayage :jonny:

that’s my question exactly, SM is so wrong for this

I checked only a couple of the leaks once to not spoil it too much but still… part of the hype is gone and I don’t think the album will have legs in the long term (as long as they aren’t hiding completely new tracks and those are just leftovers)

so, did Flower do worse than Pink Venom and Shutdown on Spotify, or am I tripping?

obviously yes? PV and SD are group songs, the solo song wouldn't outdo them

XG for sure, since they signed them.

did they really? I only saw Jackson Wang supporting them but nothing about them actually being signed

Diehard fans will probably still buy just to support. But yeah the hype has been damaged. They need to make sure the album is all new songs. But I think the issue with SM vs. Hybe and now Kakao being raided just ****** a lot of things up.

Now a new girl group is going to be debuted so not sure what this means for aespa. I'm not a MY but they deserve way better.
