She flopped, panicked and lost herself in the process, hopefully it's only temporary. I haven't counted Katy out yet.

Well I think the streaming era is a strong fall back. If you're a known big name and have a good pop album, it'll outperform its launch week in the long run I think. Lets see if she can pull off a Dangerous Woman/Anti

The way Liam has started doesn't show promise for his future, if we're following trend of how ex-members careers play out. And he was my second most anticipated after Zayn, as I knew Harry would go the route he did. Fortunately, his album is really good. I just don't see him finding a footing despite a great debut. I stand by Niall/Louis also never going far. Zayn will be the one to stick to music the hardest, and has the biggest chance to always kind of comeback. How he manages to promote and stay visible is a whole 'nother issue.

I Feel like Zayn could possibly go the "Hermit" Frank Ocean route and release brilliant albums after being away from the scene for years at a time, but he doesn't seem to enjoy music as much as the others. Harry has that big film coming up and could potentially leave music behind for acting, or could straddle the two lanes like Justin Timberlake. Liam still has promise for me, as the lead single is usually fuelled by the label, whereas the album allows for a higher level of personal involvement. I guess time will tell. Louis seems kinda business-inclined, and I could see him writing, owning labels, and forming groups of his own. As for Niall, he could be a great songwriter as well, but his initial stuff reminds me too much of Ed Sheeran.

Which has no relevance on a BB chart thread.  He could sell a thousand times more, and how they did comparatively on the hot 100 won't change.

If you actually read my explanation, I could care less about the frivolous Hot 100 chart. I'm focused on longevity and the long game.

Then you are in the wrong spot...

No... You commented prematurely without reading. You could've kept it pushing..... but you commented anyway even though I've been speaking about albums from the jump.

One of them was Metallica, not sure about the other one.

Future when he released those two albums back to back...the worst luck

The saddest thing is Harry has already outsold Zayn two weeks in..... :dies: You don't want us to do the financial comparions, do you?

Its not sad.

Zayn win in hot 100, while Harry win in BB200. Its a win-win to both.

Zayn having a no 1 debut hits and stay for 16 weeks in the top 10. While harry only have a song debut in the top 10 hot 100 for 1 week (just like most of one direction's single debut in the top 10 for a week and then plummets)

The good things is Harry outsold Zayn in album sales.

Both have a win-win in each category (hot 100 and bb200) for their debut. :eatpopcorn:

I was expecting an immediate top 20 for Camila with all the internet hype around her performance and debut.

woah @ selena. It really seemed like this was going to be her era, her star profile seemed bigger than ever, IAM smashing, Revival being her biggest era so far...what went wrong? talk about self sabotage :jonny:

Last week it was still #2 radio, #7 streaming and finally fell out of top 10'sales to #11.  All after 19 weeks in release.

it was a well rounded song doing great in all three metrics, easily wrapping up song of the year.

Deserving as well. A simple yet effective good ole pop song does wonders.

Love it's No scrubs influences as well...the highlight...
