  • The song becomes Mariah's third longest-running #1 after One Sweet Day (16 weeks) and We Belong Together (14) weeks. It surpasses Dreamlover and Fantasy (8 weeks each).

  • Mariah extends her lead as the act (solo or band) with the most weeks at #1 with 88 weeks total. She leads the act in second place by 28(!) weeks.

  • Mariah becomes the oldest female act (53) to ever hit #1. The record was previously held by Cher (52 - Believe).

  • The song becomes the first in history to hit #1 in four separate chart runs (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022)

  • Continues to be the only Xmas song in 60 years to hit #1, and extends its record as the longest time between release and hitting #1

She'll be known as "the oldest woman alive to reach #1" every year for the rest of her life :laugh2:

Not Mariah breaking Cher's record but she won't acknowledge it since she doesn't acknowledge age :deadbanana2:

:deadbanana2: "how can a 12-year-old break this record?" I can already hear it.

Those records should belong to Kate Bush. Running Up That Hill was robbed.

I know the Brenda Army will be upset :spin:

Looks like 2 more weeks on lock with a third pretty likely.

It just occurred to me that Mariah’s going to eventually get her longest #1 crown back with this song :dies:. Deserved though.

Then the irony that her yearly competitor was basically literally 12(13)when they recorded their song. :rip:

she's gonna hate it :ahh:

So she’ll end up at 12 weeks at #1 this year. This is absolutely insane, at this rate she’ll have the longest running #1 of all time by 2025.

The age record is irrelevant considering the song is from half her life ago :rip:

yeah, it's not like brenda lee being 78 is in any way going to open doors to elderly singers getting top 2 hits...

i wonder if they never change things, so then after several years, the songs with most weeks in the top 10 ever will all be christmas songs.

yeah christmas season + to a lesser extent streaming has watered down the impressiveness of several big records and will only get worse from here on out....at this rate all the hot 100 records will belong to christmas songs in no time :rip:

Great for her, but I hope Brenda is able to sneak in one week eventually.
