But ugh, it makes me so so happy she's touring sold-out arenas like the good old days, hopefully, that empowers her to actually release a new album and start a new era, we as fans need new content and I can only imagine the absolute slayage that I'll be a brand new tour full of new music

Shoot Unbreakable almost had one and SOTW had one. 6 out of the 9 previous tours had second North American legs (Unbreakable would have been 7), so I think it's possible. 9 hours ago, Bussea said: Okay, so first of all I was surprised by how DIVERSE her fans were at the show. Of course I expected a bunch of black folk, but white? I expected some older gay hybrid Madonna stans but there were people who flew all the way from the UK, teens, some MAGA looking ones and some gothic looking ones too The energy was INCREDIBLE, People were going off on every single song to the point Janet even looked shocked herself I enjoyed the stripped down set, but I wish there were more bells and whistles but I understand why it was this way. I LOVED every part of this concert but the Rhythm Nation portion and the ballad medley>>>>> I’m so happy she performed a bit of Lonely and FHTF The mixing was INCREDIBLE. I would love for some of them to be on streaming. Easily my favourite concert i’ve been to. I’m so glad I went. Janet deserves all her flowers and I’m so glad people are starting to finally give them back to her. A Queen! An Icon! A MOTHER One thing that made my ass itch was her telling us that she was going to perform some songs that she hadn’t before and I thought it was going to be new music All she did was perform her verse on a feature and an album track My trolling muva You deserved this experience!! 9 hours ago, Love Again said: I’m ashamed to admit I have been kind of out of my Janet stannings for a while! How is the tour going? What are some memorable performances? I saw that she performed Sexhibition for the first time AND NONE FOR ABOMINATION FOR YOU! She's having fun and it shows. I've only been to opening night so far and this is the kind of show I've wanted to see for Janet for a while! A nice set with flattering costumes and enough focus on her. 7 hours ago, chosensparkles said: I really need to serve a European leg, also so good to see the US leg doing amazing Let's spam her and team's social media. Or even get "Together Again Tour Europe" trending!

BradySpears Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Wow those numbers are great! Definitely exceeded my expectations, love to see it.
James_Dean Posted May 17, 2023 Author Posted May 17, 2023 Fantastic numbers, and she still refuses to drop a new album
eli's_rhythm Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Reposting this one for visibility - looks like she could come close to $50M on the current leg. Pretty amaxing improvement from SOTW.
Dark Phoenix Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Oh wow I’m happy for her than she’s doing big numbers, could this become her biggest tour?? What’s her peak grossing number?

KKKIMO92 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 This is so amazing, she sold out 16000 tickets for those outdoor venue where she only sold out 5000 in SOTW...Such an improvement, and with the words to moth from this leg, I’m sure the second leg would be an even more success. She shouldn’t wait and should just add the leg now and ride the hype. That doc really brought some many lights on Janet. Now she needs a new album!

I remember reading somewhere TVR tour or janet. tour grossed around $74-78 million from estimations since the entire total gross for those world tours were never officially revealed and I don't think pollstar was around in the 90s.

The estimate for the janet world tour was about $60M while TVR was $70M. For sure both outgrossed the AFY since both had 120+ dates. TVR tour made $33M in the US alone and was a complete sellout in Europe. Together Again can really be her biggest tour ever is she decides to extend it and make it a world tour
robbyds Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 I'm so proud of her. After she's been through...at 57 and selling out arenas and huge amphitheaters. This is really the comeback she deserves. Now bring this tour abroad QUEEN!

I feel like amphitheaters make sense for her target demographic, especially in lower density cities. I think a lot of the lawn seats usually get sold during the last few days for older couples/families who don't want to spend as much and are more casual fans. Obviously in bigger cities like NY and LA she can easily sell out multiple nights in arenas, although she really seems to love the Hollywood Bowl.
campelo Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 (edited) I really need a EU leg Edited May 18, 2023 by campelo

I'm just shocked that the Black Diamond Tour was pretty much an arena tour and this became a mix... especially since I think some places she chose half-shell amphitheaters she could've easily re-booked arenas.
