Renan90 Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 (edited) Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’ No. 1 on Billboard 200 for Fifth Week, Holiday Albums Jingle Into Top 10 Nat King Cole's 'The Christmas Song' and Vince Guaraldi Trio's 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' return to top 10. Taylor Swift’s Midnights logs a fifth week atop the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Dec. 10), while a flurry of holiday albums jingles in the top 10. Midnights earned 151,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week ending Dec. 1 in the U.S. (down 15%), according to Luminate. The last Swift album with more weeks at No. 1 is Folklore, which notched eight nonconsecutive weeks atop the list in 2020. Since then, she’s claimed four more chart-topping albums: Evermore (four weeks at No. 1 in 2020-21), Fearless (Taylor’s Version) (two weeks, 2021), Red (Taylor’s Version) (one week in 2021) and Midnights (five weeks so far). Also in the top 10, catalog holiday albums powered by streaming activity make waves as Michael Bublé’s former No. 1 Christmas rises 10-4, Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song vaults 18-8 and Vince Guaraldi Trio’s A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack jumps 17-10. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Dec. 10, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Tuesday (Dec. 6). Klein Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Damn that is almost 10k more than what HDD predicted. She crosses 1.5M pure sales.
Squall Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 150k+ How many units did Christmas sell so far? It will probably end up as the biggest Christmas album ever
simmnfierzig Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 6k more pure and 1k more streams than HDD had
byzantium Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Her 6th album to have 5+ weeks at number one. She is on another level.

Ger Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Well damn 151k is excellent. Bublé See when you make a perfect christmas album.
Feanor Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 It keeps out-performing HDD's numbers. We love a genuine smash
omrimayo Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 OK but 2k SEA that means AH sold around 18-19k sales which is like 5k more than the predictions which means it should be number 1 on BB100.
BtDecember Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Is there any competition for next week? Ugh, that one week at #2 for 299k is just so annoying. If I catch you Drakula

Virtual_Insanity Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Billboard has announced it's new Top 10. Taylor remains at 1 while no less than THREE Christmas albums find their way into the top 10. Michael Buble, Nat King Cole and Vince Guaraldi. Those three albums seems to be the albums of choice so far this holiday season as they comfortably slide into the top 10.
PoisonedIvy Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Sorry to say but I’m a little confused about this thread. Genuinely asking, are we meant to discuss the fact that 3 Christmas albums are top 10? Or are we meant to discuss the billboard 200 top 10 in general, in which case it has its own thread already? I don’t really know how to ask this without it sounding bad I’m sorry, I retyped it like 3 times now trying to make it sound okay, but I really do mean this as sincerely as possible
