Yes, latin music is huge here, and italian artists release latin-infused music all the time, with spanish lines and spanish/latin artists, I don't know where Ana Mena is from but she had the/one of the biggest hit of the summer 4 years in a row with some italian rappers. 

 

Western pop can be big, but mostly pure pop, dance pop songs or synth pop, like Dua or The Weeknd style.

If I'm not wrong, Physical was a big hit in Italy, right? I'm asking because of it's Italo-disco production resonating with the Italian GP
