Beatles might debut at #1 if BuzzAngle's building chart isn't glitching. :eek:

Lol, I knew this would happen. Shakira and Beyoncé are not on the same level, and Shakira definitely is not bigger than Beyoncé. 

 

Shakira is currently #1 in 14 countries. Both Lemonade and BEYONCÉ were #1 in over 108 countries. 

 

Love Shakira, but yeah, they're not even close to the same level. Let's not be delusional.

Why are some people complaining about Shakira numbers? Half of the album was already out + there are only 3 songs in english + she was number 1 for two days in Itunes WW. She's doing great. :gaycat2:

She most definitely is on Beyoncé's level, on all metrics. Album-wise Beyoncé is more successful and even perhaps tour-wise, but in terms of eras, for example, every single from El Dorado is playing in Europe and Latin America, while Lemonade wasn't much of an era outside its cultural impact and album sales.

Lemonade had no impact at all outside of the US, nothing....

It's a spanish album :rip: Her last spanish album debuted with 46k in US in 2010 (and also she had Waka Waka at the time!) did u guys thought she would debut with over 100k on this sales climate with a spanish record all of sudden or...? :rip:

Anyone coming for Shakira's numbers is completely stupid and has no grasp on reality. You can't get a WW smash from an album that isn't english, that's just the fact of the matter, but Shak's still managing to go #1 in a ton of non-spanish markets and is still holding up great. Beyonce would not do this with a non-english album and that's undeniable. Can't wait for her huge 350k+ debut with no promo.

Again, the highest debut for a Spanish album ever in the U.S. is only 157,000 -- which Shakira set in 2005 with "Fijacion Oral Vol. 1". Her last album, "Sale El Sol", debuted in the U.S. with 46,000 copies in 2010, which was the highest debut for a Latin album that year. :cm:

 

I'm not sure what kinds of numbers the trolls are expecting. It's on par with the numbers she pulled with her last Spanish album, which was the highest Latin debut in its year. :gaycat2: Even when album sales are shrinking in the industry, she still pulled the same numbers.

True, and she wouldn't deserve to, since Shakira's not really pursuing her music career with any type of ambition, unfortunately.

that's funny, I don't remember saying she would. Btw, I can assure you Beyoncé will never outsell Laundry Service, or get a diamond album in a market where Demi Lovato doesn't also have one, or release a song as global and iconic as Hips Don't Lie. Until Beyoncé even releases an album in a language besides English, let's not sis

+ The number of native Spanish speakers in the world is actually bigger than the # of English speakers in the world, but w/e.
