Atrl told me that Shakira was so superior because she supposedly outshined Beyonce in 2007 with Beautiful Liar.

Shakira has her lane in the Latin pop field but stop calling foul when Bey fans bring up the **** yall talked.

Since when did this thread turned into a Shakira vs Beyonce thread? The desperation is real :deadbanana2:  Let's not forget that Sale el Sol (a Spanish album) outsold her last album

The album is now #1 ww on itunes for 2 days. The last spanish album to achieve this was Sale el Sol in 2010. This album went on to sell 2.5M ww in pure sales.

Hive: Australia and New Zealand are in Europe, Germany is a roman country and Shakira is not global :deadbanana2:!!!

Shakifans keep it cute, enjoy the music and pay them no attention.

I actually think those numbers are quite decent for Shakira. I didn't even know she has an album out. For no promo it's still good.

My fave Shakira at the studio right after writing and co-producing her song "Nada"! Unlike other

popstars, she doesn't buy/steal songs then credit herself. El Dorado in stores NOW! HERE!

You're not alone -- lots of people don't even know that she has an album out. She didn't promote it and Latin America is the only focused territory for now, hopefully she'll start doing some promo in the next few days!

Its not a Shakira vs Beyonce thread. I said Shakira has her lane while Beyonce excells in hers.

Not sure which Bey album sold less than Sale el Sol but it surely wasnt any of her last 6.

Shakira has atrl bothered I see.

Nnnn at the geography lessons and the attempts at dragging Shakira's U.S. numbers for a Spanish album she hasn't even bothered to promote.

Her highest Spanish language U.S. debut is for "Fijacion Oral Vol.1" in 2005. It debuted with 157,000 copies and set a record for the highest debut of a full-length Spanish-language album in the country (which it still holds.)

12 years later and with the sales climate and lack of promotion (she hasn't performed any single at any awards show), debuting with 50k is respectable. It's literally 1/3 of the highest Spanish language debut ever

I'm not sure why the Beyoncé stans are desperately attempting to drag her when she already holds the record for the highest Spanish language debut in the U.S. and the decline isn't even substantial or unexpected. :cm:

120K is respectable for Bryson. Trapsoul has done 1.6 million to date, and that had 2 big Urban hits supporting it while this album is yet to have any hit.

yea the response has been neutral..still a decent body of work though

Oh wow... the "global" Shakira is flopping :cm:

It's a spanish album with non-existent promo, the 9th album in her 25 year old career. Your pathetic fave is a decade behind and can't even get hits :lmao: Why don't you just STFU and SIT!

PS: Oh and she's #1 WW so even if it bothers you, she IS global.

Using an album that came out more than half a decade ago :rip:

Did Shakira's global power manage to send Shakira (2014) sales past local Beyoncé's self titled?

Sale El Sol did those numbers in 2010, sales in 2016 are drastically different. I LOVE Shakira but let's not. She's not on the same level as Beyoncé but they're are the only 90's girls that are still relevant today. :clap3:

El Dorado will do decent numbers.

When your fave can WRITE and produce a full album in spanish then we can compare its sales, in the meantime keep your ignorant comments to yourself.
