MusicLoverDude Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Hey everyone . Today is my anniversary with ATRL. I'm genuinely shocked that I'm still here. I was 14 when I joined and I'm 28 now. I'll be 29 in January. It still feels hard to believe. I've seen a lot of changes and people come and go. But I still like a few sections on here and talking about music or other subjects. I've had a wild ride on here and in my youth I got banned several times. But as I got older and experienced some real world and real life events (including a lot this year) , I mellowed out a bit and I'm just glad I have a place I feel safe at and can escape reality for a bit. I don't engage in stan wars and I don't come on here with the intent to drag a certain artist every chance I get. I just come on here for the music and to have fun. So here is to 14 years. And here is to 14 more. P.S. - The games section deserves a comeback
.Odyssey. Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Glad to have you here sis Aren't too many of us who remember the earlier days here anymore.
ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted November 28, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted November 28, 2022 aww that's sweet! Games are still very fun here, I recommend the newest ATRL Family Feud hosted by @ATRL Username and @Sanguine that you can still sign up for (the first round just started!)

My Mom even bought that album for herself. I didn't really care for it outside of the singles tbh. I remember doing a dance with my dance class to 4 Minutes and the remix of Give It 2 Me playing at brunch during the first week of freshman year.
Miss Show Business Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Wow, to have been a member here when so many iconic pop music moments were happening... You really joined when the pop music revival started with The Fame. Iconic! your wealth of experience with pop culture alone makes you such a valuable member to have here
getBusy Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Congrats! I just realized i celebrated 12 years in September
JustHoran Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 I've not been posting here as long, but I have visited for YEARS and I always remember seeing your posts and avi. Iconic legend. A staple of ATRL.

I feel like it was a place you could freely express yourself (which I mean, I certainly did given how blunt i was ) . What's funny is I probably could have had a couple more iconic blogs recently had we still had it. I had a messy situation with a work crush and got stabbed in the back by this non-binary "friend" who was friends with them and the whole ordeal lasted like 8 months between crushing on them, getting exposed, getting switched on, getting snubbed, etc. Like oh lord...I hate how we can get so much drama from crushing on people as opposed to actually dating people.

I have a crush currently and honestly it's torture and I would rather just die alone
ATRL Moderator supaspaz Posted November 28, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted November 28, 2022 Happy anniversary, MLD! We miss your YouTube channel.

It's still there I just don't post videos anymore. I'm at a point in my life where if I use Youtube I need to be doing something I love in my spare time. I do have a day job now and the Capricorn in me loves money and working. I do love singing but if I do post covers they need to be done right. I have Britney/Kylie/Selena like vocals in that I could do well with dance covers (one of my best covers being Under Control from Calvin Harris). Or some of Taylor's catalog. This Is Me Trying is something I could do for a more emotional pull since I relate a lot to the lyrics. But at the same time, I also love to video edit (which I'm a lot better at) and I like to write and talk about stuff. It's easier for me to write than talk these days too because my speech can stutter at times now (might be my autism). So if I comeback to Youtube, I have to have a clear vision on what I want to do. I'm in my late 20s now and I like to uplift people and I have my special interests in weather and pop music but Youtube of course prefers you to only focus on one thing lol.
ks_dollar Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Congrats sis. I remember all the (undeserved) MLD controversies!
Mr. Duff Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Congratulations MLD! You a legend my friend! @MusicLoverDude I just realized I turned 16 last September (joined in 2006 where this site is called Popfusion ). Oh memories. Still love this site even though I'm super old now But seriously, the 606s are worse than the internet of 2006 huh.
Theshigo Washidu Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Congrats to you Do you prefer old ATRL or new ATRL? I remember reading some of your blogs on old ATRL too.
DevonRoars Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Happy Anniversary, MKD, you’re definitely one of the most iconic members here. The blogs were everything and oldtrl games section hit differently. I’ll be 10 years next year. It’s crazy that this place is still standing.
