Braz Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 United States Apple Music Albums: 74. TRUSTFALL
Julianna Calm Down Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Nah, not a huge fan of the album. The ballads are a bit of a drag. The order of the track listing makes no sense and ruins the flow. None of the songs are stellar, to be honest, even though some are good or decent enough. I think the best track is TRUSTFALL, and that’s not even her best song for miles. It’s a bit underwhelming as a whole, I would say and far from her best album. Funhouse, I’m Not Dead and The Truth About Love remain untouched. Even H2BH had some songs that were more strong and made more of an impression than any of the tracks on this new album. Love her vocals, huge fan of P!nk, some of the production is nice, and some songs are good!

EnterTheAttic Posted February 16, 2023 Author Posted February 16, 2023 Alright so I just listened and here is my track-by-track review of my first listen! When I Get There: I like the theme of the sing. It has a very nice chorus and her voice sounds great, but overall it feels kind of underwhelming. Shouldn't be the album opener. 6.5/10 Trustfall: WHAT A ******* BOP. Still. Totally different from anything she's done. I figured I would have got bored of it by the album release date, but it just gets better. Deserves to smash all around the world and im Mars. 10/10 Turbulance: What's weird sound in the beginning? So interesting! I love the flow in the verses. Her adlibs in the last chorus are HEAVENLY! A feel good song but I expected a bit more. I can see it growing on me. 7/10 Long Way To Go (ft. The Lumineers): I like the vocal effects they chose in the background. I don't love it. I need more time with it to see if I'll like it in with subsequent listents. 6/10 Kids In Love (ft. First Aid Kit): I didn't really care for it. Nothing significant to point out. Hopefully it will grow on me. 6/10 Never Gonna Not Dance Again: Yes it's cheesy. Yes it's typical P!nk. But I still believe it is new territory for P!nk. It's so good in all of its ridiculousness. The reason why I don't listen to it often is because it flopped 💀 But I low key love it. 8/10 Runaway: I love a good 80s throwback but I expected something catchier with all of the praising I've seen everywhere for this song. Still I feel like I will grow to like this song. 7.5/10 Last Call: Interesting beginning. I was grooving with it. The break before the last chorus is soo P!nk. Made me smile and rewind. I actually really like this one and I feel like it will be one of my favorites in the long run. 8.5/10 Hate Me: THE WAY THAT MY EYES GOGGLED AS SOON AS SHE OPENED HER MOUTH! I had to stand up and start jumping. This is IT. This is the song. Her voice is amazing. The scream in the middle of the song. So infectious. It reminding of 'Delirious'. God, I can't wait to hear this live. 10/10 Lost Cause: Oh My God. I was having shivers. This is so tender, yet so powerful. Her voice is insane in this. What a chorus! So beautiful and moving. ****. The retro effect in her voice is such a smart choice. 9/10 Feel Something: I got rnb ballad vibes. It is beautiful. Not outstanding but very beautiful! I'll like it even more in time. 7.5/10 Our Song: Her voice is so clear. The song is so emotional. It pierced through my soul. Beautiful. 8.5/10 Just Say I'm Sorry (ft. Chris Stapleton): Cute song and their voices blend well. I think 'Love Me Anyway' is superior, though. Kind of underwhelming. 6.5/10 Overall the album was very decent. The songs I didn't care for, I really didn't care for, but the ones I loved, I really loved. 'Hate Me' should have been the first single and 'Lost Cause' has to be a single. These are my two favorites out of the ones I hadn't listened to. Can't wait to listen to the album and read all the lyrics. I'm sure I'll get to like some of the ones that didn't impress me. Her voice is as strong as ever. Overall rating: 7.8/10
Power love Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 It just feels like she’s releasing out of contract obligations.
Subestar23 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 I'm really excited to wake up in the morning and listen to this. I know that people think that P!nk's lost all of her edge in the last couple of albums (I don't entirely disagree with this view), but I really enjoy her music. What About Us is still that song for me. I've really enjoyed Never Not Gonna Dance Again and the message behind it and intrigued about how the rest of the album is going to sound
Tyrion_LMG Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 It’s definitely a beautiful album, well sung and well produced; but that’s it. She has made a third album in a row lacking cohesion and mixing 678 different genres. The collabs are the worst tracks here by far. I don’t understand neither why she decided to place four ballads in a row at the end of the tracklist. I don’t want to sound negative, I love her and I will always do. But she can do far way better. However, I will take some gems from here that I will use for sure. Top 5 TRUSTFALL Turbulence Runaway Hate Me Lost Cause Last Call, Our Song and When I Get There are beautiful too.
aaron511 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Quick ranking of the new songs after 1st listen: Hate Me - wow, sounds like a classic P!nk record, I love it! Turbulence, Last Call, Our Song - really, really great tracks. I'm hooked right away Last Cause - the lyrics were amazing but I'm NOT a fan of whatever they put on her voice, it ruins the song Long Way to Go, Kids in Love, Just Say I'm Sorry - pretty neat, might have to warm up to them with time but they were pretty cool Runaway, Feel Something - yeah, not really vibing with these two

Braz Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 She's number 1 on most NMF in Europe or at least top 3 but it's When I Get There everywhere. Such a missed opportunity and as Underdogs said, it's not even the album version.

Borsi Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 (edited) I enjoyed almost all songs, my least favorite is probably the Chris Stapleton duet, and NGNDA... I tried to love it, but I can't. The favorites after the first listen: Turbulence, Hate me (ohh) Runaway, Feel something (instant love) Lost Cause, and Trustfall, of course. Her vocals are incredible, by the way. I wouldn't say it's her best album though. Edited February 17, 2023 by Borsi
dfantasy Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Went to bed and already forgot how the new songs sound. Now ready for another listen and be slayed again!
