Because as much as ATRL want to demonize OSTs since a certain Pop icon ( )  smashed with one in recent memories , there's 2 facts y all shouldnt keep denying.

 

1- Having a successful OST can a be a way to cement your legacy and secure a timeless classic. A LOT of legendary artists have at least one on their discographies, from Céline to Whitney, Prince, The Beegees, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen.....and are often one of their most memorable songs .

 

2- As much as haters like to plag it as the "Juicy J award" ,having an Oscar is the ultimate goal for an entertainer, so dont act surprised if they re pulling all the tricks to campaign for that...

 

And pulling all these tricks for such a bad song is just so weird ,the material is too weak to waste your money and energy on it
