Label buying sales, yt views, paying the radio and now I feel like those 8 mill debut streams are fake as well!!!
Isaiah Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I have no knock against the song but this is giving black-market tease, cause how did this allegedly outsell anti-hero’s entire first-week in a single-day without even topping iTunes

wildthaughts Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 The BTS member blocking her on iTunes doesn’t mean that she didn’t sell good on the release day, what’s not clicking?

Deemy Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I believe it. I bought 20 copies today alone ???.
LoveInStereo Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 You guys claiming it’s a conspiracy that the label/Disney is mass-buying the song when Samsung bought 1 million copies of her last album. Who are we kidding? This is exactly the kind of thing I expect from her
Paola Bracho Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 It's getting more and more entertaining in here!

WEEKND Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Ugh all this nonsense all she gotta do is release a bop like this and smash
By the Water Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I just saw 16k of that was in its first day. It's totally plausible that the BTS song sold 20k+ first day. The streams though 8m first day and 6.6m for the next two days. AH outstreamed it by over 2m on spotify alone yesterday so it should still be #1

Brando Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I mean Rihanna was always a SUPREME digital seller. I know the market has moved on, but perhaps she retained a few thousand of those who still live in that past.
RihFenty20 Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 This thread is already entertaining af. Monday is going to be the collapse of all collapses. I can’t wait
Flanders Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 The navy is showing OWT hope she snatched the #1
Taylena Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Everything about this song stinks really bad, like... First the gigantic first day airplay and still massive updates the whole week, then Billboard switching from Nielsen to Mediabase which greatly helps payola'd songs on radio and now these very sketchy sales coming from nowhere.
Navyboy20 Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 35 minutes ago, Starchild said: stans need to take off the goggles sometimes damn, This should also be applied to stans that refuse to accept a lot of people genuinely like the song and rushing to label any type of success as Payola. Looks equally as desperate if not even more desperate since their argument is based on pure speculation and not the actual numebers.
Dreajae Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 It's going to be a messy Monday either way. Either all this foolishness paid off for #1 or this song still comes in at #2 or #3 after the extensive playlisting, multiple visuals, lyric videos in Wakandan, Massive radio update, new rules that favor radioplay slightly more. Anything else missing? If it doesnt make it this week, it will not suddenly rebound once the movie drops. The way it's sinking on sales and streaming is making that clear.
UnusualBoy Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Rhenna putting good use to those Fenty coins

pride4jc1222 Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 As long as sales continue to count towards the Hot 100, these shenanigans will continue to happen. Last week, it was the irrational behavior of Swifties and Arianators. This week, it's the LMU debacle. It's very easy to manipulate sales. It only takes quite a few thousand sales to alter chart positions.
