Let me listen to "Something in the Orange" because those streams are high af for a Country song, holy sh*t :omg:

So happy for Sam & Kim!

It seems 4th album curse won’t be a thing for Sam!

Unholy is a smash I can’t remember the last time a song debuted at #2, held it without free falling then rising to #1. The song is horrible but I’m happy for Sam

It was Post Malone’s “Rockstar”, which was #2 during its first 3 weeks (all behind Bodak Yellow), before spending 8 weeks at #1.

Coincidentally, Unholy’s run began on the same weekend as Rockstar.

Rockstar:

10/7/2017 - #2

10/14/2017 - #2

10/21/2017 - #2

10/28/2017 - #1

Unholy:

10/8/2022 - #3

10/15/2022 - #2

10/22/2022 - #2

10/29/2022 - ?

It would have dropped 23 positions regardless if it stayed at the same points

The Hot 100 is a weekly chart. Points from previous weeks do not carry forward

Looks like Break My Soul and Left & Right will fall off the following week thanks to Taylor :biblio:

It was a nice run while it lasted

Album bomb happened and with another album bomb this Friday it'll fall off but that's okay

Tbh it's hard to even call it country - it's more of a folk ballad to me. Which is further evident from the fact that Country radio has taken forever to support it despite the extremely impressive streams (it's only #50 as of today and its bullet isn't even that great).

I’ve never seen a #1 tumble down this hard and this fast before, it’s truly FASCINATING

Did you miss TROLLZ, willow and half of BTS songs in the last 2 years?

Yeah, that description fits it better, I heard it and I ended up very surprised, surely not a typical country song. I really liked it.

Butter and In My Feelings, which each spent 10 weeks at #1 in the last 5 years, exist.

Butter was fraudulent, but I’ve never seen any song dominate the charts for an extended period of time like IMF become irrelevant just as fast.

ROM was also at #55 on its 14th week on the chart, so they're even ignoring their own fave's #1s for this nonsensical narrative. :toofunny3:

L&R outlasted LS by 2 weeks lol but at least a so called BTS front loaded song had longevity

It was only sent to Country radio at the start of this month, apparently.

Hm, interesting. I wonder what took his label so long since it's been doing really well (although not this well) on streaming for a while now.
