IBeMe Posted July 31 Posted July 31 If she ever has a dead / slow year with no new releases in the future she should make it a single in July and then make a mv or something. Give it the Cruel Summer treatment. Like obviously we know she will still be very busy all throughout until probably around 2026 but perhaps in like 2028 she can release it as a single in the summer! 1

I think it will be pretty close to last year. Probably just a bit below 5M.
Holiest Dreams Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Her team would actually be really smart to make an August "single" release on Spotify like they did with ICDIWABH. Single cover (just a photo from the album shoot, I personally vote for the Hide & Seek front cover hihi) with the original song + instrumental + a remix (something like the cinematic 80s synthpop version featured in TSITP S2 trailer would be received well imo). I don't mean that they should make it a single but just promote it on Spotify through its own little EP or whatever. Could reach a new peak in streams this year very easily if they did, but I predict something in the 4M range. 1
Mr. Duff Posted July 31 Posted July 31 It's already at a billion streams, making it a single is a waste. It's a cult classic now, let it ride its popularity for eternity and become the biggest non-single ever. 5
Mr. Duff Posted July 31 Posted July 31 But I still hope for a great surge on August 1st. I don't think it can replicate 5M streams seeing how spread out the love over Taylor's whole discography is, but 4-4.5M would be awesome. I still think this can outstream Cardigan eventually because this has the more "classic" sound. I do love Cardigan though and hope it can get to 2B, it's still doing amazing.
