Lover (album) ended up working out for the best. The Man now has 700M on Spotify, You Need To Calm Down is an Apple Music staple, Lover (song) is slowly but surely becoming a classic, and Cruel Summer smashed beyond anyone’s wildest expectations. We can pretend the other one doesn’t exist.

The Man as the lead would have been the same as ME! Neither song was a first 3 single material. The first 3 singles should have been YNTCD, CS, and Lover, in that order. If there was a 4th single, it would have been The Man or ME!, but it wouldn’t have mattered because COVID would have shut that down.

The streaming releases should definitely a little boost, then TTPD coming in late April + the combination of the massive European leg of the tour and summer returning could make "Cruel Summer" last all the way till autumn…
