I just realized LWYMMD is at 833M streams now, and considering it’s doing roughly 500K per day, that means it would end 2023 with around 970M if it stays stable. If someone on TikTok could do their thing and give it a cute bump, it would probably be another of several 1B one tracks she’s set to collect this year. Either way, it’ll do it early in 2024 without another boost… which feels weird, because I never thought it would get there after the abysmal Spotify performance of it for so long

LWYMMD is not her best song but i think it does deserves at least 1B in streams. I'm kind of surprised it did so poorly on streaming when it smashed on Youtube

Agreed! I actually think LWYMMD has aged particularly well, it was a bit meh at first but I really do like it now. You have to be in the right mood though.

 

It should’ve hit the 1B long ago and maybe it would’ve if her streaming dominance had started earlier. As for YouTube, it kinda has the same trajectory as it did on Spotify actually, despite having a much bigger start. Frontloaded on both services. Oh well, at least it’s catching up now that all the other hits from that year are declining over time.

Yeah, i agree that it aged pretty well. I really disliked it when it first came out but it grew on me with time, especially when Reputation came out. It's still not my favorite song even on the album but i like it a lot more for sure.
