Jooj Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 The way we have rapists and rapists supporters scoring hits nowadays and this is what people choose to be offended about
Digitalism Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 You clearly don't listen to rap if you think this is bad Also blaming katy on this You have pop girls working with several rapists ans marrying pdfiles and this is what you pick on?
DanceFreak Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Yes, I think she should get the electric horse
Daddy Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 It's a perfectly fine pop culture reference plus Katy probably had zero artistic control over her content.
OmegaRidley Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 It’s a pop culture thing so no not really
XxxKatyCatxxX Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Ah, yes, Katy - the only singer in the history of music that put names of killers in the lyrics...
Vespertine Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 I'm not personally offended by it (and funny how people in this thread have to immediately jump to "offended!! snowflakes!!!!" ), but I've always thought it was quite tasteless. Personally I think things like that don't need to enter the pop culture lexicon while immediate family members of the victims are still alive. Imagine hearing that on the radio I've always felt the same way about the Challenger explosion audio in XO. You could probably write lyrics with the same effect using, just for example, Jack the Ripper and the Titanic as historical references. No one who was affected then will hear it now.

Like where did I imply I'm personally offended by the line
Zeferino Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Personally I prefer “Cannibal” Be too sweet, and you'll be a goner (Yeah) I'll pull a Jeffrey Dahmer
Taylucifer Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 was gagged when i first heard it also with Kesha name dropping him in Cannibal

Squall Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 It's funny because tons of artists, including Kesha, Eminem or Mac Miller, made a Dahmer reference in one of their songs but yet, here you are, blaming Katy specifically for a rapper name-dropping him in his own verse
Europe Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 I read this thread and right after that came accross this picture
