Partition is SO pointless on this tour.

:rip:

I wouldn't mind if she cut it eventually.

It was so amazing to hear Partition live! It's one of her best deep cuts, why would it be pointless? Plus it's not like she makes some big deal about it she just sings it as the tank heads back up the stage for a few minutes. And the lasers for it are so cool, and very Partition.

i had club renaissance for the first toronto date, honestly i got there at 5:30 when doors opened and i could have arrived even later. CR is so spacious and leaves you with plenty of room. there was never more than 4 rows of people from the barricade (moments of more crowding when she was on a particular side, but people moved freely) don't waste time waiting out unless you want a specific spot.

Thank you for sharing!

Are fireworks forbidden in concerts in Toronto? Cause she didn’t use them

My guess is since the stadium was covered?

Some stadiums in Europe were covered and  they had fireworks.

I don't know then, probably has to do with local fire laws and such. Lets hope fireworks return in Philly!

Oh wow I didn't even realize we didn't have fireworks... didn't miss them though.

Oh I LOVE Partition live, don't get me wrong.

Just for this tour the performance seems out of place and kind of thrown together. I personally think Partition should have been included in the POTS/Virgo's Groove/Move/Heated segment somewhere actually. It would have worked better for the tour as a whole.

I feel like Partition feels out of place and it just feels random and it pops up out of nowhere. Along with that, the performance for me just seems a bit rushed if we are being honest. It was actually shortened a little bit after opening night. In one performance I saw when the song was ending, it looked like they were literally trying to hurry up and get Beyonce with the tank off the stage. :deadbanana2:

Let's just say they could have moved it to a different part of the show and it could have worked better.

We have no idea. But it must've been something serious, as she's barely cancelled any shows throughout 25 years of her career.

Well, usually, when artists cancels tour dates for 'logistical reasons', it means the shows are selling poorly, which ofc isn't the case here.

What's problematic here is that this could damage her overall tour gross.

How was it?

IT WAS PHENOMENAL.

I was in BeyHive A VIP, and it was such a magical experience. Seeing her smile close up and to know she's legit smiling back AT YOU is amazing.

We do a lot of discussing her on this site, a lot of time is spent with her on our minds, we know so much about her, probably a lot of silly facts she doesn't even know, so it's really amazing to behold the legend herself and think about all the amazing things she's done in her career, all the paths she's taken and the success she's had doing it, and now you two are in the exact same place, not even that, but you are involved in her performance, tasked with giving back the energy and helping to make that megawatt, superstar smile happen.

She looked and sounded perfect.

She did mess up the Partition lyrics at the front, repeating the same line twice, but she smiled so hard with a silly while singing it the second time like she knew she messed up but kept on having fun.

She also seemed to have a blast, which we all know she's having this tour, but it was also so legit and reciprocal. I never cared too much for the Love on Top moment where the audience sings, but it was one of my fave moments. Being THAT CLOSE to her for it, and seeing her scan the stadium... to the top, the left, right, and even right in front of her at us in the VIP and her expression of shock at how good we sounded (real or fake) made me feel like I was giving her the best vocal performance of my life yet I knew and could hear I sounded absolutely terrible. But really it was the gusto she was feeding off, and we really gave it.

Also, I made it onto her website and her instagram (in the audience). See if you can find me lolol.

@swissman What were your favorite parts of the show?

What were your least favorite parts of the show besides Partition? :eli:

I think the interlude before Thique came on and the way Thique was introduced was one of the BEST things she ever did.

:jonny4:

Like I am obsessed with it. I have been playing that Thique performance for like the past three days now.

You should get tickets for Chicago.

She's including DIQue, All Up in Your Anus, and Drunk in Vocals I heard.

My fave part? Probably Before I Let Go, which I know is one of the "why is she singing this?" songs people mention but it was just SUCH FUN and already one of my fave songs of her's. BREAK MY SOUL too, it hit hard, like... emotionally even. I duno maybe I was ready for it, but usually I don't relate to music/songs in that way, but in that moment it really changed my outlook a bit.

Least fave? That's so hard because you know I am easy to please with Beyoncé. I still loved RDY but didn't need it. Still, I liked how it prepped us for LOT. But however much I didn't need the song, her vocals sold the moment.

I'm going to go track down that THIQUE performance then. A rarity.

You want to know my least favorite part of the whole tour?

Spoiler

It ended.
