Development on GTA 6 apparently started around 2018 so yeah this is a 100% modern R* title

And various sound files exist for it. 

 

R* always tries to revisit ideas that fell through, so I think GTA 6 will have a proper sea monster

If you loved the heavy storytelling aspects of RDR2, you may like Final Fantasy 16 as well 

That's my all time favorite game.

 

I think Red Dead 2 and FF16 should inducted as historical masterpieces. We should be teaching their scripts in academic courses.
