The whole no visuals situation is kinda wild, but I'm here for a revisionist edit and there are still angles for her to play to make this all feel "part of the plan".

It’s like she’s trolling everyone that used to say that she needed film hype and visual albums for her songs to take off the last decade. I still want them though and I hope she’s keeping them for a second wind on streaming Like I need some soft femme voguing around her during Virgo’s Groove. Mr. Specialist Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Welp. At least the spins are positive in the radio update.

I feel like this was the case with not dropping the visuals initially. Proving she could launch the single and album sans visuals to those who say she over-relies on them. This length of wait though is very much giving something went wrong (we know there have been reshoots and there are now questions around where it will come out when Netflix seemed like a lock). The most genius / annoying aspect of this is that we all know they'll make it "seem" like it was the plan all along. Between her cryptic lines and the latest soundbites from The Dream, it's giving a lot of "let the music breathe" ish. A touch pretentious, but will absolutely work as an ultimately acceptable excuse (to the GP and critics) who will buy it as part of her "artistry". It would be very refreshing if this rumored doc sees her go the opposite direction and blow the lid off the delay by admitting she wasn't satisfied and, against all advisement, pushed to reshoot for this amazing end product we now have.

I agree. The documentary has been hinted at by a couple of people. I'm just curious to know what the cause of the delay was. Did she change her mind? Did she not like the original finished product? Were certain people/locations/etc. that she wanted involved unavailable during the original filming, hence the delays? Whatever it is, it seems as though the visuals are finally finished and now we just have to wait until they're released.
Safe&Sound Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 I hope the songs hanging longer on radio, so it can be promoted and smash properly after Holiday season

Sometimes they randomly last an eternity (Die For You) and sometimes they phase tf out. It's such a missed opportunity cause she could deadass have her family do it and it would go mega super ultra viral...

I understand that she's released some songs in the past that weren't necessarily pop friendly, but come on now. Her U.S. Spotify numbers are meh, but how's she faring on Apple Music? Does she tend to do better there? This. I hate Pop radios.
