But yes Bey was truly a multiformat queen. Irreplaceable did 200M+ in AI because it was a pop rhythmic HAC and urban staple :jonny5:

Born 92 so I saw ALL her smashes in real life :lmao: she was the RADIO gyal and that's kinda why she's so hated. If this AI is even an Inch close to what she got in the 2000's it's gonna be Insane. :jonny5:

Yup! At one point Bey held 2 of the top 4 female audience impression peaks of all time. If I'm not mistaken, "We Belong Together", "Irreplaceable", "Shake It Off" and "Check On It" were all north of 200M.

So can we get into a discourse of this song hinting about Bey finally admitting to smoking weed? :eli:

I’m curious how the drop will be

So it’s finally hit me but when Before I Let Go came out with Homecoming it was one of my most played songs that year and I was so sad it wasn’t a hit because I think she needed that sort of summer cookout/bbq sounding banger again.

I really think Cuff It is the closest thing to it, along with obviously being 4’s sister. So I really won :jonny4:

Also was listening to so much Raphael this summer before Ren dropped. It feels so good to have TASTE

yep. I remember vividly. I guess Gen Z is too young to remember how Beyoncé was everywhere in the 2000’s. I guess I remember it all because I’m only 3 months younger than Bey. I literally grew up with her and DC. OG Beyhive here!!!

Ehhh idk about that. I’m 22 so I guess that’s considered older Gen Z but we definitely witnessed her slayage. Maybe those who were born after IASF didn’t.

exactly, i'm also 22 and her music has pretty much been apart of my whole life. i remember hearing her songs on the radio ALL THE TIME and even the DC hits from when i was really young

I’m from late DIL days and I didn’t know about DC3 until after their reunion. :rip:

I remember my mom playing Say My Name, Survivor and Independent Women though, and I loved those songs, I just didn’t know the artist. :rip:

Exactly. It’s like people think you don’t end up hearing classics that were made before you were born? :deadbanana4:

Sunday drops for cuff it especially in the US    may be steep but I’m kind of optimistic especially with it gaining over 10k on Saturday on US Spotify.

I wasn’t stating that you haven’t heard them. It’s different when you experience her  early slayage in real time. Someone stated they are 22 which means that they were born in 2000. CIL came out in 2003. Yes you were alive when her solo career debuted but it’s different for someone that was the same age or closer to her age as at the time. Her music connected with me immediately. I was able to relate to her songs that referenced a new found love or someone being “crazy in love.” Or even losing a love and realizing I had “Me, Myself and I.” This wouldn’t be understood by a 3 year old…but a 21 year old, yes. For instance I can compare my love for Whitney Houston for what many of you experienced with Beyonce. Yes I was little when Whitney debuted but I did not experience her early eras in a way that I immediately connected with her music. I appreciated her music when I became of age to understand love.

Cuff It, Heated and Summer Renaissance are all easily the big hits of the album!

Not y’all sleeping on ENERGY!! It’s also one of the top 5 biggest songs on the album.

And can we pls give a special shoutout to the fact that this woman has NEVER flopped in any of her solo eras and as a member of Destiny's Child for 25 years straight!

Only Madonna is above her for sheer longevity, everytime Bey comes back she always does SOMETHING that shakes up the conversation!

The fact that shes a 90s act and is fighting for a 2nd solo global #1 25 years into her career :jonny5:

No video, no promo, no Interview, no nothing.

Just the music and solo at that.

If I didnt hate how boring these eras have become, I really would applaud ha, but im too petty

It’s kind of impossible not to play Energy after listening to Cuff It, the way they flow together :jonnycat: the first half of Energy slays me, sometimes I wish it had more going on towards the end

Energy is 10/10 for sure
