Here are just some of the other countless singles she didn't send to Pop that went top 5 or topped Urban radio (some also topped Rhythmic radio, too)

Partition

Flawless

Love On Top

7/11

To be fair I dont see those songs doing well on Pop

She was supposed to send Pretty Hurts but someone at Parkwood is tone deaf so they sent it to Urban:toofunny3:

Whatever the case, it doesn't really need pop radio, it can go top 10 without pop, but it definitely does need some radio support

7/11 had good streaming

Partition's was ok in its chartrun

I don't remember exactly how 7/11 was doing on Spotify but it wasn't on the rise like Cuff It currently is, hence "none of them had the streaming presence it has now". 7/11 is a smash for what it is now but back then, it wasn't seen as anything more than a cute club hit that was more of a video presence than Spotify.

Pop would eat it up though. It’s just a stupid move. Why restrict it?

Dual release apparently with "CHURCH GIRL". Impacts Urban next week.

What the hell.

"CHURCH GIRL" is impacting Rhythmic, not Urban.

7/11 spent 12 Weeks Top 20 on US Spotify

It was a streaming hit back then

I wish the data was easily available but I see nothing but Kworb for pre-2017

The reason 7/11 did so well on BB is because of it's streaming component.

It was huge on YouTube.  Had she debuted the video at the start of the tracking week, it would've been well into the top 10

This I know. And that it's 5x plat eligible. I just meant back in late 2014-early 2015 when it was peaking. I remember it smashing more on video than Spotify, which I guess the video helped keep it afloat on the latter.

How is it supposed to do that when it hasn't been sent to radio in favor of radio poison Church Girl? The industry and gp can only do so much when the artist herself engages in self-sabotage...

Church Girl has been sent to pop??? Oh hell no. It's an excellent song but won't stand a chance on radio...

That was not the problem. The problem was Billboard changed the rules that week to state a song’s views on YouTube would only count once the song was available for sales. The video was available before the release on iTunes because the songs were already leaked and everybody had heard them. That #13 peak was Billboard’s fault, for once.

Pretty important. Germany (among with other European countries) don't use TTH, instead using their own "Hot Hits" playlist. The Germany one in particular is MASSIVE!

BMS peaked #39 on German Spotify, with CUFF IT #55 there currently; I think it's passing :jonny5:

"Drunk in Love" was only sent to Urban, which didn't stop it from being a big smash. Everyone was complaining that it hadn't been sent to radio, now it has and you're still complaining. :rip:

It’s been like that since the beginning of the era… It’s never enough :deadbanana:

This is not how I remember it.

She dropped 7/11 on a Saturday exclusively on Facebook. That was the only place to view. I remember the 7/11 thread and @Ressti making us all new avatars from the video. Then we started gagging at how the video was going viral. If I remember correctly, it ended up gathering over 19M views in 24 hours. All those views were lost because Facebook didn’t count and we also lost 2 precious days of tracking. The song didn’t leak. Short snippets of 7/11 and Ring Off were made available on some official platform that one of us downloaded after using their local library card.
7/11 became available on youtube (on her secondary account, not Vevo) and on sale when the More EP dropped the following week.

The only person to blame is Bey, not Billboard
