Ger Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 (edited) These are the predictions carried out by Cedric and Chart Essentials, that are really good charts predictors and and I am very grateful for their hard work. Up to this point, the total 52 weeks on the "Billboard year" calendar are in! Edited November 18, 2022 by Ger-55
Genie in a Bottle Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Wow. I had no idea how slow the charts moved these days. Haven’t paid much attention to them in years. So many of these songs are well over a year old….
ccfan007 Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 (edited) Idk how these predictions work or the point system BUT how can "Sweetest Pie" make this list so high up and "Bam Bam" no where to be found? Sweetest Pie YT: 51 Million Spotify: 188 million Bam Bam YT: 113 million Spotify: 450 million Edited September 7, 2022 by ccfan007

Sweetest Pie YT: 51 Million Spotify: 188 million Bam Bam YT: 113 million Spotify: 450 million Bam Bam was a big hit outside of the US and those numbers are its worldwide numbers, not just US numbers. It did less well in the US especially compared to Sweetest Pie

TrieLz Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 I’m happy Ed will have a top 10 year end with “Shiver”

Jay T Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 I literally don’t even know how the #1 even goes… billboard needs a change

Timber Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Wait, might Dua get another top 10 3 years in a row? Very impressive.
ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Around a third of the entries this year are by lead women, including women like Adele, Lizzo, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Beyonce, Olivia Rodrigo, Meghan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, and Taylor Swift.
unclefloprry Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Heat Waves needs to chart only 3 more weeks to secure that #1
wish Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Not Big Energy top 5 with less than 200M Spotify streams Radio NEEDS to be weighted down.

Although I agree radio needs to be weighted down, BE was very local so most of those 200M streams are from the US, the song also did better on AM, and thanks to the Mariah remix its pure sales are really good OT: billboard should change the tracking period, starting these charts in November always benefits songs that peaked in nov-feb chart really high so by the time the year end is out they feel really old already, with a tracking period from Jan-Dec As it was would’ve probably been the #1 on the year end which feels more accurate, HW is still massive tho
Ms. Togekiss Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Big Energy does NOT feel like a Year End Top 5 same with First Class Stay does not feel like a 2022 hit, Shivers also feels very 2021 Ghost does not feel like a hit at all Not to mention heat waves which is a 2020 song
Sesame Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Okay this glass animals song that’s over two years old needs to die off already my god. Who the f*ck is still streaming it? The way last summer I asked this same question. Is it going to follow us into 2023?

Probably not because Lil Baby has an album coming out on 10/14 and Taylor Swift the following week, and I think that is where the run comes to an end for Heat Waves.

Radio played all these too death which plays a major role in points

Green Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 I think Easy on Me could still finish at #5 instead of Big Energy That "Big Energy" prediction is using the same points it got last week for the next 8 weeks which won't be true because points will be lower each week because radio, streams and sales are decreasing
dabunique Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 (edited) all Planet Her singles making da Top 100 in their second year lol in total she has 7 entries, no wonder she's da Hot 100 artist of da year Edited September 7, 2022 by dabunique
Starkboy Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 6. Super Gremlin 8. Big Energy Never heard these songs and I check Spotify daily. This year had been absolutely DRY for hits. Bar a few exceptions (As It Was and First Class), the majority of these songs were complete unevents or either old songs.
UnusualBoy Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Hope EOM end at #5 and not 6. She'd finish top 5 in both Hot 100 and BB200
