Russia has cut off gas supplies to Europe indefinitely

I agree that tying oneself to the US so unconditionally is not a good look.

In GER's case, however, Miss Merkel actually blocked green energy investments and cut the sector by 2/3 during her reign (2005 - 2021).

Imagine those 16 years with a competent government who diversified energy supplies and invested in green tech?!!!

However, we will survive.

We also know that if Merkel was still reigning this war would have never happened. We all know.

If Merkel were still Chancellor, Germany would have willingly become part of the new soviet union. Merkel appeased Putin for her entire run.

I believe that nuclear war is inevitable at this stage. Putin can only "win" in Ukraine with nuclear weapons (so it seems from recent reports) and with the prospect of India and China siding with Russia... a full on confrontation with NATO seems 100% assured.

The Russian GP could prevent all of that from happening. However, at least 50% of the Russian GP wouldn't mind nuclear destruction.

I thought that too at first with a nuclear threat, but now, I don't think so.

Anyways:

Nazi Germany sustained itself for 12 years and would have lived much longer without the entire world fighting it.

Russia currently only fights 1 war and is not currently mass murdering its own population. I guess, Russia could sustain this war until Putin dies in 20-25 years.

Germany's always been a high tech country though. Russia's relied on high tech imports. Now the imports have been cut out. I think Russia's gonna slide into total chaos next year if the sanctions remain. They're gonna hurt us in Europe this winter but if we get over this winter then it's gonna be easier to us move on without Russia's energy sources.

True. However, China and India both will help and support Russia. I believe that this war will last 10 years before any side is willing to negotiate.

With the pace how the Russians are currently running away, it will for sure not last ten years, eventhough Ukraine is a big ass country
