infrared Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 The red wave is crashing - I have to laugh

It's been said since 2020 that 2022 is actually the best year for midterms for Dems possible because of what is up for grabs in terms of election balance and how gerrymandering unfolded. The likely scenario is Dems hold the Senate as is (maybe one gain, two if strong showing) and hold a slim majority in the House. A strong Republican response would be Dems losing 2 seats in the Senate and around 30-40 or so seats in the House, which feels unlikely given the generic Dem ballot polling, particularly the former. You need to stop lying. You and @ClashAndBurn have been yelling from the ATRL rooftops that dems are walking to a slaughter and about to lose 60+ seats. prior to the Dobbs decision everyone from pundits to casual couch pundits said that Dems were gonna suffer pretty big losses. Not that it was favorable to Dems. I understand you don’t wanna get caught with egg on your face if they somehow keep the house but to so blatantly lie about your stance and prior predictions...What in the Pete buttigieg is going on Nothing is set in stone so Dems might still lose the house by a lot. We don’t know. But don’t go around saying “it’s been said this is great for Dems since 2020” when you’ve been rubbing it in everyone’s face that mod Dems would cost Dems the house because they’re awful and the political climate was against Dems

This claim is absurd and a work of fiction. I literally will give you 24 hours to find any posts of mine suggesting this. I've been complaining for months about Pelosi endorsing Cuellar because I'm gonna k*ll myself over the likely scenario that Dems maintain the House yet their margin is reduced to 1 or 2 and now the most powerful Dem in the House is that freak. Why would I criticize Dems for pushing centrists and thus risking our majorities if I thought it'd be irreversible and inevitable regarding of who ran? Please, you gotta have some common sense. What you're saying is patently untrue and shows you're dogmatic and partisan when it comes to Dems that your eyes glaze over when presented with reasonable criticism and drown it out because you're not actually serious about electoral politics as a means to improving people's lives.

All of that was also prior to the Dobbs decision, which was far more extreme than even the wildest partisan even thought possible out of a SCOTUS that has grown too extreme for even Roberts to curb its worst instincts. Don't slander my name as being delusional when you can't even quote my predictions. And especially don't drag me into an argument on a thread I'm not even posting in.
